No 6 is track 1 on the best of album for this group. 14 & 16 - she's majestic in the soul world

Turn the words round a bit and Gladys did one similar.

Clues time - no 5 - she complained of fever no 6 - this 'little' lady with a tall hairdo could be in the witness box no 7 - this lady is 'glad' but wants the nice weather to change She also features in no 18 no 14 - she could be looking at the distance through a lens, and she also features in no 16 - singing about her high school squeeze, who could be rhyming slang for a cuppa. She's HRH in Soul terms. no 18 - not a happy tune to sing

Sorry, Pat, no! If I said this woman was 'glad', would that help at all?

No, Pat. Right weather though. It's a female singer with a male backing group, and she's on another unanswered question too.

Hi CB, Is number 7 The Dramatics 'In the Rain' ? Pat x

It may well have been a cover version, Paul, but I'm after who made the songs famous. I don't ever recall hearing Dirty Man before, and I've been a soul freak for over 40 years. I thought Joss Stone wrote stuff too, but I could be wrong. CB >|<

19 is Dirty Man, recently covered by Joss Stone, don't know who did the original (oh the shame) (I'm assuming it's a cover, I was pretty sure all the songs on her debut album were covers)
