Margaret maybe easier for me to say but please take it easy, as the worse thing to do is to panic try and calm down do not drink tea or coffee if you need a drink try something that has nothing to make you hyper in it. People are saying what is the right thing she is in the best place. Try your best to stay positive. All the best to Jan and you stay focused on the positive. I was on my way to bed again when I saw this so I am sorry I am not around after posting this. Will be thinking about baby and Jan and YOU keep well Jan will need you, alert and well. Pat x

Definately Margaret, you have every right to worry! It is only a natural reaction to what is happening to your baby! X

Thanks all, Im sitting here drinking coffee and smoking my brains out, looking at the clock. Wondering what they are doing, I suppose she is having her section right now. I know these things are so commonplace these days, but its my little girl and her little one, and I cant help worrying. Mind you thats a mums perogative isnt it, lol.

Margaret just sit tight.Like Susie B says,Jen is in the best place possible for her.The Dr's are or have been keeping a good eye on things and are doing the right thing. Think of the nice side...you will have a new grandchild sooner than you thought!!! I think I am starting to become religious because of this site you know. The amount of wee prayers I'm saying lately... I will say one for your daughter and the safe delivery of her baby. Keep your chin up!!!! Hop-a-long.

Margaret, hope you can keep occupied as you wait for news. Sorry I can't stay up and chat with you to help pass the time. I am sure you will hear good news in no time at all and then you will have another thread to put up, announcing the arrival of your new little grandchild. Hope all goes well and will look in the morning for news. Take care, think positive, Liz

Margaret, I can understand your panic and worry honey, but just think she is in the best place already and the baby is at a good stage of the pregnancy so the little one will have a good fighting chance if the rest of the pregnancy has gone well then as soon as baby is born hopefully things will calm down with your daughters blood pressure and little one will just need a little bit more attention paid to him/her for a couple of weeks....It is the best thing to be done really for her and little one so put a twist on it and think to yourself in a few hours or a couple you will be a proud grandparent and you will be able to look at that little bundle of joy in your arms and say to yourself I am a lucky person to have such a beautiful little child in my life!! I will pray for the best for all of them now honey I promise and please keep us informed I am here if you want to talk!! Love Susie xx

Had a phone call earlier this evening from my daughter Jen. She is 35/36 weeks pregnant, and the baby hadnt been moving much during the day. So the hospital told her to come in so they could do a check. Jen and hubby Stu went along and were told that Jen was possibley in the early stages of pre-eclampsia, and they wernt happy with the baby as they where getting what they called a lazy trace..... heart beat was fine but little one very quite. Then Jen started getting a few contrations while she was on the monitor and babys heart beat plumetted. They told her they would keep her in over night and give her a full scan tomorrow (meaning today). Jen not happy about staying in but she has done as she was told. She has phoned me in the past 15 mins and told me that they have done a second trace test and they are very unhappy with it, and are taking her down for an emergency section right NOW. She is just waiting for Stu to turn up and they will get the baby out as fast as they can. There is no way Im able to go back to bed now, so am gonna sit here and type away at differnet things until I know everything is ok. But inside Im really scared for all of them. I just hope and pray that this little one is going to be ok.
