Madeleine Georgia was born at 3-39 am. Weighing in at just over 3lbs. Stu is over the moon, Jen is in shock, and Maddy came out screaming. It seems that the placenta was very small and had stopped working, Jens bump was 5 weeks smaller than it should have been. Maddy is fine, they didnt rush off with her, and let Jen and Stu have cuddles before they took her off to the baby unit. OMG Im a granny. This is our very 1st baby in our new generation. |

What a horrible mum. I dont care if the baby is a boy, girl or purple with yellow spots. I will love it just as much. Its easy, just put all the wrong sex clothes up on e-bay and buy the right sort. They havnt done the nursery yet, they couldnt agree on a colour scheme so Jen was waiting till baby was here, and Stu would be so besotted that she will get her way, and paint the room excactly as she wants it. Hehehehehe. |

Margaret,a friend of mine was told she was going to have a girl. All their family were excited the room was done up in pink all baby girl clothes were bought and the name Shannon was picked. When my friend gave birth to another boy,her mother was furious and started shouting in the delivery room at my friend.Told her she could bring back all the pink things her self. This woman was livid. She was told by the midwife to leave the room.I felt so sorry for my friend until she told me the room would stay pink, she wasn't changing the blankets and worst of all she was still going to name the baby Shannon. Like mother like daughter.Needless to say,my heart went out to the baby. For that very reason I would never ask the sex of any of my babies. Hop-a-long |

Stu should be there by now, Im not sure how far away from the hospital they live. Im thinking it should all be over by now, Im twitching away here waiting for the phone to ring, and you can bet the second it does, you will be able to peel me off the ceiling I will jump that far. Yes we do know what Jen is going to have but I will save that for when I get the phone call, just in case the scan person was wrong. I hope they wernt cos the poor baby is going to be having a gender crisis. |

Margaret, has Stu arrived at the hospital yet? I'm afraid to leave the computer in case I miss the big moment.I know it's a worry but it is exciting isn't it. Do you know what Jen is having or is it a surprise birth? All seven of mine were surprises and I loved it.That moment of finding out what you had..... Hop-a-long |

Margaret, I am thinking of you & how you are feeling. My daughter had an emergency nearly 2 years ago and both are very well! Try not to worry, but do rest, you will be no good to them if you are tired. Linda x |

Margaret As everyone has said, stay positive and calm...you can't do this for her, this is her job! You just keep focused on holding your grandchild for the first time and taking care of your daughter. I can understand that you want to be there for her, I have recently heard that my daughter is expecting my first grandchild in February.....she lives in England and live in Grenada! I will probably need you to tell me to stop worrying when the time comes!! Positive thoughts heading your way from the West Indies. Jacquie xxxx |
