Hi All, Im just back. Am nucking food in microwave as we are starving. Now for the best bit. Maddy is beautiful, very small and a bit thin. She has dark hair, wandering eyes, they are so funny, she opens them and they go off in different directions. She looks more like Jen did as a baby, but you can see Stu in her as well. I will be honest I did get a shock when I first saw her, she is so tiny, and a little cry. She has a heart moniter on, and an oxygen tube up her little nose. She is also attached to a drip. Her lungs are a bit iffy just now, so the docs have given her antibiotics just in case she has an infection, and also something else incase of something that Im not sure of. It seems that Jens placenta had stopped working, and there was no amniotic fluid left, she was also going into pre-eclampsia, her blood pressure had rocketed. So they did the best thing and got Maddy out, at least now that they can see her, they can look after her better. Jen looked awful when I saw her, like a ghost she was so white. But when we went back later she had colour back in her face and looked so much better. Stu has taken some pics so when he has downloaded them, I will try and get them on the GR site so you can all go AWWWWW. Stu is also fine, he is getting over the shock of being a dad a bit sooner than he thought. Im totally Knackered and am gonna have a very nice sleep later on. Thanks for all your kind messages on here and private e-mails, its really apperciated. Wow Im so chuffed |

Glad to hear all is going well now. Can just imagine how tiny that baby is as one of mine was only 5 and 1/2 pounds and she was a dolly. Anna |

Maggie, so glad you got down to see Jen, Stu and Maddy. Your happiness is just bubbling through to us all. Please try not to worry. Believe it or not I was only 3lbs 1oz born. Mum should have had me 29th Feb, leap year baby. But she had me Christmas Eve 7 weeks early. In 1954 there was no incubators or special baby wards. You have met me twice and you have seen how tall I am. Wish you could see the big lump my Daughter has produced. 10 days old and now weighs 10lbs 12 ozs. He looks like a three month old. Will send todays photo's if you would like to see them. Love Jenny xx |
