Well, it took me 1 hr 45 mins to get to work tomorrow because there was a big accident at a roundabout that links 2 main dual carriageways. 1/2 hr is what it should have taken. I was not amused. Anyway I decided that I better stop for petrol on my way home and I didnt have too much left. What a silly idea that was. Why didnt anyone tell me that there was a fuel crisis. Queues everywhere, but I did get some. Fi |

There was a big queue at Tesco's at the weekend and some pumps were out of fuel, we went up the road to the BP garage and they had a sign up 'No Fuel'. Husband's going to try and fill up a bit tonight just so the car's there if we need it and then he'll use his Motorbike to get to and from work this week as that's got petrol in already. I suppose it's going to be worse in large towns - I'm in Poole (Dorset) and I suspect it's going to get silly here? Last time everyone emptied the supermarket shelves of food - panic buying because they were worried they wouldn't get there again! I think a lot of people felt a bit silly when it all settled down again. Does anyone know how long they are going to keep up this blockade for - thought I heard someone say a week, but maybe they meant just this week? Kaye x |

Hi Vikki - it's been alright here the last couple of days, I filled up Saturday at Texaco with no problem. However I've just got back from Tesco and the pumps are being manned by Security / Police and there's a substantial queue. PS I'm in Wiltshire not Virginia, must change my name back, lol! |

Hubby just phoned to say he was low on petrol whilst on an errand for work, thought hed put a few quid in and when he got there, the queues were massive. Been sitting for 15 minutes up to now in the queues! Said hes gonna fill her right up coz he aint doing that again. How silly is our society sometimes! Or maybe thats just Cumbria for you :-( Vikki xx |

Hi Police are manning Tesco, Morrisons and Asda where I live......Are we in that much danger of riots over petrol and are we honestly going to run out or not be able to afford to buy it? I doubt it. How bad where you live? Vikki xx |
