Just got back in to London from the York Meet. First of all a big thanks to Sue and Jan for organizing it. Then just want to say what a great day it was and how lovely it was to meet friends old and new. I had a ball and a great laugh. To fill you in (because I know you are curious) Sue and I staggered back to our 'digs' , then went out and had something to eat and drink, then back and had a few more drinks...And THEN...bedtime.... Well, it was a bit embarrassing because the powerful static of my lilac bri nylon nighty kept pushing poor Sue out of bed. But, gamely, she would climb back in again, holding tightly to the bedpost, whilst regaling me with the very interesting and shocking story of her life. I went to sleep (with some help from my blue pill) listening to the dulcet tones of Sue...fading into the distance.... This morning, had a great breakfast, and wandered around York which is really such a beautiful city. I actually visited the Minster this time! Thank you one and all :-) BC XX |

That always seems to be the way doesn't it Beth? When you need a bit of attention but there's always somebody waiting in the wings to steel it away! Keep us updated and we'll try and get another meet in before the baby is born Jeanette x |

Hi Jeanette I already felt old so it doesn't make much difference that way. Now I have to kick my backside into gear and start looking into organising a load of baby gear. Put's my worries on the back burner again, lol Beth :))) Still shaking |

Beth I have just got in from York, Left Sue and BC staggering to their hotel/pub and the rest of us headed to the station. Taken longer to get from Leeds to Otley than it did from Leeds to York. Really glad you all had a brilliant time, will have to have another meet in York in the not too distant future. Sue |

Transport between Hartlepool and York is worse these days than 1901, lol. I had to leave to get the coach home :( I'd much rather have stayed and had a laugh. We have all behaved impeccably, apart from waving like loonies at Jan's husband as he drove to work. That DID raise a few eyebrows Beth :) |
