Harry, Maybe she does it in case anyone wants their cup refilled. It's quicker to boil a kettle again if the water's already hot. CB >|<

Harry I think you are flogging a dead horse my friend. I have been doing the same for 44 years. Hubby tells me off all the time but I am a creature of habit and I don't think myself or your good lady is going to change lol. Just put up with it not worth arguing about. At least she makes the cup of tea. Kind Regards Jackie

Amen to what Budgie has to say. Two cups are brewing at this moment - made as more often than not by my goodself. When my good lady makes it she never puts enough sugar in it - not malicious, but thinking that sugar is bad for you. If she didn,t go down to the river to do the washing, I,d divorce her. Happy days

Hello Harry, My son fills the kettle to the brim, I get annoyed with him at times for doing that. Me, I pour out what is not required, before reboiling. Linda x

On a serious note here if I may, by filling only what you need for your cup of tea you are helping to save electricity and thus energy and ultimately helping to save our lovely planet:-) XX BC
