Hi Paul, you have picked 2 lovely names, but not to put you off either, there are a lot of Jack's up here, very popular....Cassie I havnt heard of as much infact im sorry to say only heard the dog in the farm next door called it ...sorry :)) I changed the name of minime several times before he was born...first I liked Harvey, then Benjamin, then Alexander then finally Christopher...dont know why just really knew he was a christiopher when we looked at each other for the first time .... We chose Harmony or emily for girls names..although I adore Grace, Rebecca and Scarlet .....so maybe pick a few and wait for the day that you meet baby.. Good luck Anita x |

Every other boy is Jack or Josh at the moment, although i like them both. And think about the intials with your surname.....some people forget that and the poor child lands up with something awful for ever! lol (not that i know your surname, i just keep thinking of my mums initials) |

Ann does have a point about the initials. My eldest's first 2 initials are RC. Mind you she can be very arsey at times! lol |

Both are nice names Paul, it has to be your choice. have you put the intitials together with your surname? Sometimes that is the deciding factor. I used to know a girl with the intials WC, she was forever teased about it. Ann Glos |

me and new hubby have decided that if we have any children (i already have 2 Jade and Thomas) we would use a family name from the tree. decided on lillian Elizabeth (our nans were called lillian and Elizabeth is timeless) and Benjamin Robert (family names of mine going back generations). the name chosing is such a wonderful and personal moment. i loved all that. ill keep it short as getting clucky now! my friends son is called Jack, its so cute. all the best Corrina |

I like Jack, but every toddler boy I know at playgroup seems to be Jack or Josh(ua). Having said that, having a common name has been proved to to make you more popular at primary school. What ever you like and suits the baby. All the best. Vicky |
