He is just complaining that his head hurts. and cannot breath through his nose. Think I should get her to ring at least NHS Direct. Thanks jenny. |

you gave the correct advice - ring NHS direct or, if you're worried, take to A&E - they always prioritise kids |

I think it would be a good idea to keep this right at the top of the page for a while so that Bryan might see it. |

My 8 year old Grandson has had a runny cold for a couple of days. he went really off it this afternoon. Tempreture 38.5 6 Plus Calpol given but after two and a half hours Temp had gone up to 39.2. Is still the same now, but cannot have anything for another hour. I have told Daughter to sponge him down all over with Cold flannel. He is now saying he is freezing cold and keeps pulling duvet up over him.. this tells me his temp is still rising. You usually go all hot and sweaty when temp is dropping. I have told her to call Dr or at least NHD Direct for advise. If Bryan is about can he tell me what he would do. Thanks Jenny. *********** Tempreture now going down after advise to give Calpol and Ibuprophen. Sorry spelling. If no better during the night or in the morning and temp goes back up to 39.5 to take him straight to hospital. Thanks for all your advise and concern. |
