Ones for Paul's 'to watch' list lol : Shawshank Redemption Monster's Ball The Green Mile (starring Tom Hanks) Amelie (for Sharron) it isn't a sloppy film, my OH thinks its brill too. I'm not into really girlie films, am I ? lol I do like something with a good story. :0) Joan

I have seen the Ring. It's nto my favourite genre either, but itw as OK. Haven't seen Amelie, nor Monsters Ball (nor Green Mile !!). I have seen Road to Perdition though, which was an excellent film Dave. I bought Memento in the sales last week, haven't see it, but am told it's excellent, might watch that tomorrow night...

Ah Paul, I think you'd like that!!! Have you seen the Ring? I don't like supernatural films usually, but it was so good!!! Get Amelie out to watch with Sharron, i'm sure she'd like it & you will too, it is a very funny film, very clever. As for American Beauty I could watch that hundreds of times, it's such a brill film. It'll be xmas soon, so we can watch the Great Escape with a tin of chocs on our laps, can't wait!!! :0) Joan

Joan Gattica - wonderful film, one of my favourites, thank you for reminding me ! The Bourne Identity was quite good too, but I wasn't particilarly impressed by the sequel (Bourne Supremacy) Paul (ps shocking I know, but I've never seen the Shawshank Redemption)

Amelie (excellent film, anyone would like that one) Lord of the Rings, all 3 Shawshank Redemption Bourne Identity (both) American Beauty (seen that soooo many times) The Great Escape (God Paul & I like the same films, shame he hasn't got better taste in Football teams lol!!!!) Wallace & Gromit films (can't wait to see next one) Joan of Arc (of course! with Mila Wotsit french subtitles but excellent) Gattica Oh & last but not least, The Ring :0) Joan

Just went back and checked what I put when this was asked yonks and yonks ago (2004!) - to see if I still agreed with myself lol this is what I put then ..... Gone With the Wind Ladykillers The Wizard of Oz The Lost Boys The African Queen Arsenic and Old Lace Grease Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels Some Like it Hot Casablanca I think I would have to add Lord of the Rings Trilogy to that now. Maz. XX ps how could I forget Pirates of the Caribbean !!!!!

My favourite film is 'One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest' I also like a couple of old black and white ones Hobsons Choice and Goodbye Mr Chips Also Shawshank Redemption and Road to Perdition were both great films. Dave

I think you'll find it was John Belushi (and Dan Ackroyd) in Blues Brothers (the first one... James may have been in the sequel ? haven't seen it).
