God love you all, I feel so sad for you. My boy went in May and I miss him so much. Don't you and your hubby feel guilty, you did the kindest thing because you loved her and she knew that. M. |

i would just like to thank every one of you for your lovely messages and emails. you really have helped us . even the poor vet was in tears.annie was loved so much by not only us as a family but also the vets. she was part of their family aswell,as she visited them often. at a last attempt to try and save annie the vet examined her. her spinal cord was badly damaged due to the removal of her tail 2 years ago. she had no feeling in her back legs or lower tummy,so we had no option but to let her go. we cuddled her so tightly until her last breath. we stayed with her for about 5 minutes on our own afterwards. hubby and i both broke down,we felt so guilty. limara and her littluns were waiting in the car and as we took them home little shania(aged 5) sobbed...'nanny dont be sad,if you look up at the sky you can see annie jumping from cloud to cloud on her way to the rainbow where gt grandad is waiting for her' omg,i cried and cried and didnt think i'd stop how hubby drove after that i'll never know as shanias gt grandad was hubbys dad! thankyou all so much from the bottom of my heart love susie(now crying again) xxxx |

Oh Susie hun i'm so sorry. Just this side of Heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill or old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together... I hope this helps. Take care, (((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) love Joan xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

Hello again Susie. I've just remembered something that our vet said some time ago, several weeks before we had our darling Tiger Puss put to sleep. He said - tactfully - that if quality of life isn't there, there's no point in prolonging that life. x |
