Fruit, so you can have it made well in advance. One less thing to worry about. Re: the profiteroles. Eldest had a tower of iced fairy cakes last year, well sprinlkled with sweets and cake decoration jewels. Went down well with the budding ballarinas and action lads alike. Didn't need a knife either! :o)

For something Different I recently saw a Wedding Cake made out of Proffiteroles with Cream inside and Chocolate all the way down. It was like a Tower. very different and unusual. I love Proffiteroles. Regards Jackie

Don't forget to make it Gluten free, just in case... and the top tier is best made from fruit and saved for the christening Rick lol

CB, We had another problem too - first there was Maison Blanc just round the corner (right next to a superb deil - Gluttons), and then Mr Blanc compounded the problem by opening up a Petit Blanc brasserie just up the road ! Paul

Paul, My Mum lived in the same street as the Chelsea branch - hence the addiction my son and I now suffer from! Jeff reckons it might be worth getting married just to have one of their cakes. LOL I think Daisy is now also a convert, after our visit there with Gaynor Bear. CB >|<

ahhh Maison Blanc - I used to work just round the corner from the Oxford one, and I can vouch for the fact that everything they do is GORGEOUS. But also quite expensive lol

Rick, I'll have you know I had my birthday dinner in Watford last Saturday - TGI Friday's, to be precise. No cake, but plenty of B52s and lots of balloons to take home afterwards. Mind you, I have it on very good authority that Watford's on another planet. A story for next time I see you. ;>) CB >|< X

Sorry to disagree with everyone so far, but I'd go for one the classiest cakes around from www(.)maisonblanc(.)co(.)uk/weddings_home(.)html the finest in French boulangerie, patisserie & chocolaterie (Branches in Chelsea, Holland Park, Hampstead, Richmond, Guildford, Chichester & Oxford) or, as Paul suggested, something wonderfully gooey and hugely expensive from Choccywoccydoodah. Have we all got to go and buy confetti then, Rick? CB >|<
