lol Farthur Christmas:) Dawn - I didn't think the figure was very high really as an average (not for a lifetime!). I agree with you Nell, that there isn't a right amount:) But I'm interested to see what others think as I was listening to a few comments today and was surprised at a few things that were said.

David I don't think there is a 'right' amount. This is a matter best left to individuals. Some people go through life with no sexual partners, others have several, some have many. What is important is that people don't take advantage of or abuse others. Sex is one part of human relationships and not necessarily the most important part. nell

I wasn't asked to do the survey but that figure is way too high for me. Mind you if it was all youngsters a lot seem to have different partner each week.

According to this, the average Briton has had 9 sexual partners. What do you think? Does it sound too high, too low or about right? And if it's right, do you think we have too many partners nowadays or that it's a respectable number?
