Just been reading another thread where there have been a few veggies posting (I won't mention in what context!) Was wondering how many use these boards.....

Hi Roxanne When we decided to cut out meat. we just ate chicken and fish, but it snowballed from there! It's so much easier now to be veggie than it was thirty odd years ago! Cheers Allie

I'm a veggie, I couldn't kill anything myself so therefore don't believe I should eat it.

Peter - what's a TREAL veggie? Perhaps you need to give up the meat - it's getting to your brain!

Allie :-))) Hi just came back, I've been out sorry, if I had seen this earlier I would definetly been here just to say meat is murder but I have to say i adore fish and seafood with my veggies. But I don't eat red or white meat & try to avoid animal products that come from dead animals. Peter that is not actually true Veggies actually release wind far more efficiently than meat eaters do it is also more silent & less pungent and toxic too :-) the veggies you are talking about must be the baked bean variety, & can be very dangerous to be too close to. Let's face it most people think we are like cows but that is not so we don't have two stomachs or live on grass lol. Pat x

I heard that before, but at the time heard it was an old wives tale, in fact they fart just as much but produce more methane or something.

Knew there was very few veggies on the boards :-( Never mind it means I don't follow the crowd ;-) Pat x

I have to add to this thread, mainly because the meat thread is attracting far too many meat eaters!! Where are all the veggies?? I don't give myself a label so am not a veggie but I do not eat meat, haven't done for almost 30 years. I do eat fish. Linda xx

Like me Linda :-) I ate a little chicken when I was pregnant my Doctor insisted but otherwise I haven't touched meat since I was thirteen it was a teenager being grown up decision, funny though 2 of my four cousins are veggies from a young age and two of my Aunts were as well. Pat x

Hi Linda ;-) My three children eat meat but mainly only when their nanny cooks it for them, which is once or twice a week. They love eating veggie meals. I make loads of Pasta and Rice dishes that they thoroughly enjoy without meat. Lasagne with Puy Lentils and spinach is a favourite as is Spaghetti Bolognaise alternative puy lentils. They eat lots of salads because they ask me for them more than me forcing onto them. I would impose veggie & fish diet on them but judging by what they choose to eat they actually prefer a veggie diet. Pat x

Just curious. Do veggies find that there's more choice for them when they eat out nowadays???
