I have an aftershave headache now having sniffed almost everyone of those mentioned! For now I've gone with Allure (well he can live in hope can't he? lol) and thanks to everyone who contributed. Daisy

Have I missed it, or has nobody - I repeat, NOBODY - mentioned Kouros, by YSL? Bob uses it, and it smells ooooooooohhhhh, lovely! In a masculine way, you understand. :-)))

Chris - I didn't feel very ding dongish over the weekend so am going to wait until I put my Christmas tree up before I use my Christmas name. By then I should be sufficiently stressed out with it all not to care! Daisy

Chrissie, There are various Joops now - at least one for men. I've got the original (Joop, that is, not man) - it smells of freesias. >*|*< X

Tommy or Valentino are nice and so is Obsession for Men. Quorum is ok too and not a bad price.

I like Cerrutti 1881 Image, it has a subtle scent, sort of citrus but very 'fresh' , sorry, not too good at describing it but really love it. patsy ann

Thank you everyone. I just returned from the gym smelling not terribly pretty myself so it's lovely to waft through all these replies! I love Issy Myake but my 19 year old daughter has just gasped in horror at the suggestion and vetoed it as she doesn't want her Dad ruining the association of the scent for herl!!!!! I shall have a lot of fun tomorrow on the men's fragrance counters I think. Of course I may have to accost any suitably gorgeous middle aged men and ask them to help me choose! Daisy

I think the one that hubby liked might have been Givenchy Gentleman. That would tie in with my remembering it as sounding masculine. If it is that one, it smelt lovely Daisy:) Chrissie x
