sorry - I was following along very well until the mention of 'birkenhead class' I've checked all twenty eight of my dictionaries and they confirm that the two words can never be used together

can I have a photo too please Daniel? I'm sick of the local kids playing 'Knocky Hide-O, maybe if I put your pic up with the words 'Warning, I Live Here!!' it might scare them off. Paul

Bec, A fine rendition! *applauds* Now, for the deportment lessons. Stand up straight, with both feet together, hands by your sides, head up, and face forwards. Next, have Professor Higgins place a large, heavy book on your head and take slow, but sure, small steps in a forward direction. This will ensure that he stays by your side, as he is unlikely to stop reading the book and can catch you if you should trip over the edge of the Persian carpet. Practise this often, while reciting the following phrases - 'Thank you. How kind!' (to be used instead of 'Ta, luv!') 'Pleased to make your acquaintance, Lady Farnsbarns' (to replace ' 'Ow do, lass?') 'I should like the Supreme of Quail' (instead of 'The 'otpot'll do me.') 'I do admire fine millinery' (to be used instead of 'Prefer flat caps mesel' ') I shall return later to see how you're doing. >*|*< ;>)))

Any more tips for Miss Batty? I've done music. Dining room etiquette seems to have been discussed. Any experts?

Bev

Bev Report 7 Dec 2005 20:22

Bec

Bec Report 7 Dec 2005 20:28
