Noooo. If that was the reason then archery, or even trap shooting would be more suitable. Keeps the distance you see.

if this is an effort to defend yourself against various female advances (lemon, Bec etc etc), I think you're better with the other sort of fencing... 6 foot or higher lol

Nope. Just fitness when I'm free at college so about twice a week at the gym.

I've never tried it before, but from what I've been reading it seems something I'd be alright at. No group pressure and it's indoors :-)

I'm going to try that Fencing Club that took my interest earlier on. It's only down the road and you get 3 taster lessons before deciding to become a member or not. (And no, it's not about garden fences, although I can see their attraction)
