We got Bobby (Border Collie) from the rescue centre so have never changed his name - didn't want to confuse him. If we really want his attention we call 'DINNER'. (Always give him a treat for coming if we have to use that 'name') :-)) |

My GDS is Elsa. called that as when we got her as a pup her feet were huge like a lions paw. She is beautiful but my last shepherd was named that. My son has Ben ( the border collie) he was from the dogs home and called Benji but we shortened it to Ben. He is the most loveable nutter. My daughter has Winnie (collie cross) a little love but a bit yappy and bossy with other dogs. And then there is THE KHAN ( nickname Khanigi) ( Lab x GDS) less said about him the better . Once met never forgot. Can be nice though. As long as he doesn't want to steal anything . Germaine x |

I have a little Retriever called Bonnie, who goes by a number of other names depending on how good she's being, but usually ........'Cow Bag' - partly because she used to eat the grass all the time as a pup and also because she's stubborn lol and also 'Munchkin' - because she's a little sweetheart. We also have a German Shepherd called Storm and he usually gets called 'Stormy' or 'Stormski' - daft names because he's a daft dog! We sometimes call him 'Scooby' too as he sounds like him! Kaye x |

I've got two cats: A seal point siamese called Yindi - apparently it means happy, but he already had his name when I rehomed him and now often simply gets called 'puss-cat' although he also answers to 'biscuits'. And a little stripy black cat which we named Ebony - she now gets called 'pumpkin' or 'titch' or anything else that comes to mind! Also we often refer to the pair of them as 'tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee' or 'pinky and perky' |
