Len, agree with you 100%, don't appreciate life until you almost don't have a life. Been there and makes you really look at things different. Don't Sweat the Small Stuff, It's all Small Stuff. Debxx |

Sally, About 30 years ago I had a mental breakdown, mostly connected with working 12 or 13 hours a day, 6 or 7 days a week. I was a financial accountant. I made a complete recovery and am now what they call 'strong in the broken places'. You've heard about Yin & Yang? Well, you cannot fully appreciated happiness unless you have known misery. len |

Ah, thanks Len, I thought there must be more to it - I haven't heard that one. I really hope you are feeling happier now though Len, because you don't come across as being sad. That's the problem I've found, you don't really know what is behind the words. x |

Sally, I don't. The expression to be over a barrel means to be helpless, stymied, up a gum tree,in a cleft stick - the situation I was in when I last got depressed (which was ages ago). The mere visualisation of myself in such an indecorous position makes me laugh - so goodbye blues. len |

Oh sorry Len! I have just re-read my posting... I think I should re-phrase it. Why do you want to roll yourself over a barrel? |

When I get explicit, Sally, they throw me off the boards. Have you never heard the expression? Len |

Yes CB, liked all of those, but not so much Tommy Cooper. I liked also the one where John Cleese gave his car a good thrashing when he was going between a restaurant and F.T. |

I learnt to drive in an old Ford Cortina that had a column gear change stick thing on it, and when I went for proper lessons couldn't drive the Mini, so the instructor had to drive to a car park and show me how to change gear..lol Jxx |
