Hmm - surely dust would technically be a body part and therefore non-admissable on Ebay too.... Just a thought ;) Julie

Naughty Daisy ask hubby if he was from the Holloway Road he'll have no bother :-) Paul seemed to understand and he's norf of Watford so must have been Proper English after all ;-) OK Paul just gets very upsetting as I have seen lots of rubbish and scams on Ebay & they get away with it something for charity suffers from this nastiness you know me hate that sort o thing. I shall keep thinking and hopefully won't annoy you too much if I come up with anything better than dust buyer collects which I think is actually very good & I should think Daisy has a nice little earner there as there are so many weirdos on Ebay lol. Good luck Paul, and let us know the latest news please ;-) Pat x

lol no it's OK Pat, I apreciate the suggestions. I'm not going to resort to new names etc though. I jeut need something foolproof. Its only a bit of fun at the end of the day, and if it raises a few quid in the process... I'll think of something over the weekend

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:55

Another idea ;-) How about re-registering in a different name and only letting on to people you trust on here keep a record of who you tell and see what happens :-) could that help? I could register without giving too much away on here, they would have to use a bit of detective work to find me. Any good ? Tell me to shut up if I am am getting annoying. There has to be a way around this, somehow. Pat x

Pat, They get away with it, because they dont have someone following them around complaining about what they're doing... hang on... its not Sue is it, she's my very own stalker lol Paul (only joking Sue)

Pat

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:50

Not fair thought I had a good idea lol. How do others get away with it? How about bidding on emails??? trying to think of anything that costs YOU nothing but gives the complainer to Ebay nothing to report you for :-((( Pat x

Pat I think I know what you mean, BUT sicne i'm not slling an actual item with that, someone could still complain and get it removed. Daisy - plenty of dust here already thanks :o)

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:41

I've just re read it and I can't make it out either lol I think I didn't delete certain words in places so, in my efforts to make sense I went on about gibberish. Have tried again please check it and let me know if any sense can be made of it lol. Pat x

Pat I didn't understand a word of that! lol Now then Paul - how much dust do you want cos I've got 3 weeks worth of the stuff here with another 4 weeks pending? Daisy

Pat

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:31

I can oblige with the dust too lol. Paul can you not auction a mention ? If it's for CRUK anyone that bids on your Auction is bidding on a mention for the next one which is a penny auction and that the one that mentions the list of the winners (ebay names only of course) Surely that isn't breaking any rules, you are offering something. Many times I have seen people put auctions up for a penny asking people not to bid. Someone I know did this to wish all the people who buy from him a Happy Christmas etc., but more times I have seen people putting these up offering bootleg CD's :-( which is supposed to be against Ebay rules. I have only ever reported people selling LIVE animals on Ebay I have never even reported the bootleggers :-( Hope that all makes sense lol Pat x

Paul What about a speck of dust. You'll find plenty in our house. David

Unknown Report 26 Jan 2006 22:14

Pat, the rule I broke was offering something 'intangible' for sale - ie nothing. The fact that I offered a specific item, with 'nothing' as an option, was still enough to break the rules in their eyes. I'll find a way round.

Pat

Pat Report 26 Jan 2006 22:11

Well if you persist then that will annoy them and that may cause them to slip up. I don't understand how a complaint by someone can get you deleted on Ebay unless you break the rules and their rules are very hard to break as they seem very lenient. I understand its easier to break the rules on here :-( Pat x
