You're right Pat. At least it's dry heat here on the Central Tablelands, although I'm wet again now from moving the sprinkler! What about this Keith chap Rebs? Bit of a character is he? Lewella x

Just had to wait 10 min while the puter rebooted. Lost power again, all those aircons are straining the system. The temp isn't that high here, but the humidity drains you. You have a shower and within seconds of getting out you're covered in sweat again. And we can't water until after dark. We're on level 2 water restrictions because of the drought. Not sure if it is just me, but I'm finding it harder every year to deal with the heat. Looking forward to winter, however brief it is.

Anything else you'd like Keith - maid, gardener, the usual servants we have here in Oz! And you lot sent us here as punishment. What can I say. Lewella

But you have the fortunate option of going along to one of those nice beaches and cooling off in the sea. Try dipping a toe into the sea off the English coast in the middle of summer and you are liable to get frostbite. And if the cold does not get you then you are likely to catch some dreadful disease from all the sewage floating about. I'd swap mine for yours anytime ...........( as long as you have air conditioning, a swimming pool and a concierge service....... LOL ) K

I know all of you in the northern hemisphere are complaining about the cold, but believe me it's currently just after 7.00 pm in Eastern Australia and is still 39.6C!!! At least you can rug up to keep warm. NSW has just recorded its hottest January ever! Bring on Winter. I promise I'll never complain about the cold again. Lewella
