Hi, Phew, glad about the dress code. Thought I might need some strappy glittering thing. Not really my style. Limo shoes a definate. I have some that I am just breaking in. Should be perfect by the 10th. I need a heal to stretch me out a bit. Not sure yet if I can persuede the OH. See how he feels nearer the time. ( unfortunately Neville suffers with depression and he has good days and bad days.) Does any one know if all the Ancestry Subscriptions have changed. The last one I had was a 3month UK one, which I paid for in US dollars. Can't find it now. Hope the breaky works out Laurie, what ever you have in mind. May not be good after tonights cocktail party, or are you on your best behaviour tonight. LOL Must go Luv SuzyQ

Queen ? Oh sh*t !!! You're not going to do the royal wave thing are you? Warning you Trifley, you start with the royal waves and I'll be sending you across on a real barge. Not a classy Cleo style barge either.......plenty of sand dredgers along the Brissy River. *wonders how on earth I got myself into this.......and how can I get out?*

Judy Report 17 May 2006 06:04

She said Nefer wasnt going Rebs, could you really trust Queen Nile to stand up with a pole and push you all from one side of the river to the other in her state? <without falling off> Jood

Trifley Report 17 May 2006 06:00

No Laurie, it just means everything we DO is in a regal manner......even getting feschnickered.....we do it with class! Trifley xx PS....I HATE spread-sheets! Maybe if I knew what I was doing it wouldn't be so bad!

Lewella

Lewella Report 17 May 2006 06:00

Yeah, falling off the ferry would be real regal, pmsl. What's happening with the barge, anyway? No, Lara, Terry knew nothing about the mysterious daughter. He now knows why first wife didn't want him involved when she first got pregnant. Cause it would have come out that she had already had one (or however many!!!). Anyway, he's going to speak with first wife on Saturday and warn her that she had better let their sons know and also do something about fixing up her Will (stupid woman). I'll keep you posted. Have had a look at your locket. You'll have to take it to one of those Antiques Roadshow thingies. Seeya Lew Lew x

Afternoon all - I had a good morning !! Joodles, I may have slept through the earth moving - but lots about here didn't - some saying they got a wee bit terrified, thought the building was swaying! Lots of rude comments being made around the lunch table. But I earned my therapy session, Ray had me doing the Play School thing for an hour, cutting, pasteing and stapleing - and real old fahioned stuff not puter type!! His display wasn't going to well - but I fixed it so I am number 1 PA again! Tony if you were trying to make me feel guilty about not cooking breaky . . . . it didn't work! Trifley, def limo style was the end result, though Adie who was going for sensible, got amazingly different! we are going to get her training wheels when we go out tonight. Anna I thought of your shoe buying joke, but twas a lovely lady who served me so I didn't go that far (hope you feel better, dont you just hate those change of weather colds). Lew I made mistake of talking about the furniture being tied down in the wrong company - didn't know one of the guys was a kiwi . . . the lovely Ray covered for me though - told them he hadn't given me my pills yet today! Lara, I hear you hon, but no worries here - I dont throw any old thing out !!!! Just ask Ray - he is still around! We have a cocktail party tonight, so I best go take the 'nice' pills and get ready . . . Talk to you tomorrow cheers luv Laurie

Yes Rebs.....I'm a Queen! I know how to behave....in a classy and regal manner. Oh.btw....Graeme suggested I get a cab back from the casino to the hotel. He was muttering something about being drunk and falling off the ferry. Trifley xx

Hiya folk !!! Trifley, you can wear a tiara if you like babe, but just remember.....Princess Free Zone. Suzy, I'll probably wear trousers or a dressy pair of jeans, and jazz it up with a top/shirt that can be worn from day into the evening. And I will have heels on. Most of my friends have younger children, so it's not often I get to do something minus the small people. I'll be making the most of this. Shazz, be good if you can make it. Only dates and places have really been decided (sort of). Guess we'll work out exact times closer to the day when peeps know what time they'll be arriving etc. gotta go, writing another letter. Lamenting loss of Ye Olde Handwriting though. Too many years of helping out in class rooms and writing in small persons text I think. Combined with typing everything these days, handwriting is an artform almost non-existant. ;-(( Catch you all later. Rebs x

Hi Tony nice to hear from you mate thought you'd taken of early for Scotland You are right Tony before I started hairdressing I worked till I was 15 at the Gas and Fuel in Town and I was 14 and was paid a huge wage not kidding of 4 pound and 5 shillings and it was huge as when I was able to start apprenticeship I dropped back to 3 pounds a week so yes the cost of a pie has escalated hasn't it LOL I'm laughing because when my parents used to say things like this we used to raise our eyebrows and go OMG he they go again and they used to say it will happen to you one day and we would laugh and we all concluded that this would be when we knew we were getting old when we started saying remember when this cost only this much hehehe LOL. Have any of you had a look at the Locket yet it's on GC photo page under Lara's Locket it's been an interesting thing just finding out about Quong Tart and I will remember to take more notice of things as you know what I nearly threw this locket in the stuff to go to the OP shop as my Mum was agreat one for buying bits and pieces from the op shop and I thought this was one of them thank heaven I realised before I did do that especially when I saw baby photos of Mum in it made me wake up so look carefully at all your parents bits and pieces because they may be in disguise and you may not at first realise that they have history too . Lew have to ask what does Terry think about the ex's mystery children or did he know about them and have you been sent flowers or anything for putting them in touch mother and children I mean and pleas where have they been all this time ???I'm a born sticky nose sorry cant help myself lol ok off again to do some dreaded H*******K love Lara

Good Afternoon wattlers Done the weekly shopping and vegie man has been, now I have to put them all away. Luckily I cleaned out the fridge yesterday and the pantry last week. Tomorrow I go for my fle jab. I hate that as my arm usually swells and is painful for a few days. Neville has no reaction at all. Still, it's beter than having flu. How dressed up do we have to be to go to the casino, all my dressy clothes are in the thin wardrobe. Do I need to go shopping? No rain here yet, a bit of cloud and lots of sunshine. Rebs, I don't look at any of the other threads, but yesterday I did. Imagine having a thread just to complain about others. Couldn't be bothered. The Wattle Club is the only one for me. btw I wanted to go to the naughty corner but couldn't find it. Bye for now, some shopping to put away Luv SuzyQ

Afternoon Wobblies There are two types of women's shoes.....walking shoes and limousine shoes (that's the type you wear when you are just sitting). Glam clothes AND sensible walking shoes????? Don't know about that.....might have to have a think. Rushes off to wardrobe to look for most glamourous pair of Jane Debster's. Back again. Think I might be right. If I look absolutely wonderful up top no one will look at my shoes pmsl. Gwenda (you little beauty) came up with the goods for me yesterday. Lots of info about where Graeme's grandparents lived in Sydney AND it narrowed the time frame when grand-dad emmigrated here. Don't you just love it when info starts to fall into place? Thanks Gwenda. Anna......sorry you've got the sniffles. Plenty of fluids, echinacea and rest is about all you can do. You've gotta be healthy for Brisvagas so take care of yourself. Healing thoughts on their way to you. Hi Wilson....the ploughing sounds like a big job but i'm sure you can handle it ok. Fingers X X for rain when you need it. Lara....what brand of van are you getting? You'll have to let us know if you're passing through the Gold Coast on your trip north so we can wave. Oooo Laurie...shopping....sounds like fun! Walking shoes or limo type? Buy some of each heee heee. Enjoy!!! I'm working on a spread-sheet for Graeme this arvo (not my strongest talent) so if you hear a lot of swearing and putas being thrown about........don't worry....it's just me. I'll catch up with you all later....perhaps at drinkies time. ~~~~waves to everyone love Trifley

Afternoon Wattlers. Lovely day in Melb. and the sun is shining. Next few days are surposed to be nice...according to the Weather man. Just having some lunch ( Pie n' sauce ) I was just thinking to meself ( as ya do )...when i bought the Pie from the shop. It was $2.90............and i can't remember, but i was thinking to meself ,wasn't that equivelent to 1pound nine shillings?...... Thats bloody highway robbery...lol 4 bites and its gone....:>(((((....and it was recooked and burnt as well. 3 pound is what i used to earn for a weeks wages, and that means at today's prices all i could afford is 2 pies a week, and then I'm broke till next pay day. Wot a rip off, and to boot the pies are smaller today than they were yesteryear. Well Iv'e upset meself now, just thinking about it, so might go have a V.B tablet to make meself feel better....:>)) Laurie. Have a nice stay in Auckland mate, and dont forget to Eat at 'Tony's' Retaurant......just dow the hill from the big Tower on the opposite side of the road.............tell e'm Tony sent you.....LOL Beautiful little restaurant, very romantic, and intimate. Maybe Ray could propose to you..... all over again. After all at Yarrawonga i was lying in bed watching the poor man slave over a B.B.Q..and make you hot breakie.......Barb said, why dont you go oput there with Ray and cook me one??.....I said..its because he loves Laurie, and, and,and,and,....then i fell asleep...:>)) Love Auckland, its a beautiful city. Best wishes to all who are away, and all the sickies. Av a good un. Tony Oz...:>))
