Now this is FUNNY: After digging to a depth of 1000 metres last year, Scottish scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 1000 years, and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network a thousand years ago. Not to be outdone, in the weeks that followed, English scientists dug 2000 metres and headlines in the UK Papers read: 'English scientists have found traces of 2000 year old optical fibres, and have concluded that our ancestors already had an advanced high-tech digital network a thousand years earlier than the Scots.' One week later, the Irish newspapers reported the following: 'After digging as deep as 5000 metres, Irish scientists have found absolutely nothing They have concluded that 5000 years ago, our ancestors were already using wireless technology.' Heeee, heeee, heeee Have a great afternoon, all Lew Lew xxx

Hi Wattlers, I hope that you all had a goos week end. Won't be long now Lew then every day will be like a week end. Wondered what had happened to those photos. Don't think we got Reb's yet either. How is the new laptop Trifley? It will take you a week to set it all up. Happy birthdays were had by all it seems. Oh Sandra, you wouldn't get me on that bridge for a kings ransome. I am terrified of heights. One thing I would love to do is fly like a bird, which, as I don't have wings, would be hang-gliding, but I wouldn't be able to get my feet off the floor. LOL Pam, Lyn and anyone else, it's okay by me for you to join our Lotto syndicate. It's all just a matter of trust, we trust each other to pay up when we win. ( noticed that I say when and not if ). Tony has all the rules and he will be back before it would be your turn to buy the ticket. btw, who's turn is it this week? Now I need some expert advice or the computer kind. Not sure if this is the right place to ask but here goes. HELP How the hell do I get rid of Cookies.??? Tried eating them, but that didn't work. I have Trend Micro and it tells me that I have them but not how to get rid of them. I now keep getting this web sites for casinos and music downloads and rings tones. They just pop up in the middle of doing things, really annoying. Had a nice afternoon walk yesterday along the broadwater at Paradise Point, then has fish and chips. No good for the diet but good for the taste buds. It is always very busy there, lots of families having parties, kids kicking balls at you, bikes trying to knock you over on the walking path. You know the kind of thing. It is much better on a week day, must remember that. Well, everyone have a good day, what is left of it Luv SuzyQ

Afternoon Wattlers Dr Lew, me thinks Kaz is a purring with us. Do you still have that shot gun ready. And I really can't see you doing any 'work'. Great to see Tony and Barb are enjoying themselves. I also travel with undies, toiletries and medications etc in my hand luggage. Last time I was in USA to see my daughter, I missed the flight home because of delays and cancelations of flights from Tampa in Florida to Los Angeles. One suitcase made the flight I missed and got home before me, the other suitcase ended up going to Melbourne a day later. Boy was I stressed out over that flight, but as least I did have clean undies!!! lol Glad you had an exciting birthday Sandra. Hz, if your daughter's room is like any other teenagers, you probably won't have enough time to clean it up before she comes home. At least she'll be home soon. Must go and see what is in the fridge for lunch, will probably have to go grocery shopping later - yuk Have a nice afternoon Pam

Good Morning Wattlers, First of all belated birthday greetings to you Heather, I was away on my birthday bash. Had a wonderful weekend, the dinner on Friday with all the family was good lots of fun, the Grandchildren popped those popper things and sprinkled me with the coloured paper. We were picked up at 12 noon ,drove to Sydney checked in hotel and then went down to the waterfront for a meal/wine,back to hotel to get rugged up for the football. Drove to Homebush the traffic was terrible, had a bit of a walk from parking station and then a huge walk around these walkways to reach our seats(noone thought of lifts )lol seats were excelent, great to be at a game even tho the Swans played terrible and those magpies won Ugh...... Got lost going back into the city, finally in bed midnight. Sunday morning daughter and I went off for our Bridge Climb What an experience, dident realize you had to wear so much gear. I was very nervous and the guy with us said go behind him, must be cause I was the oldest lol What a lovely clear day it was and could see the Blue Mts in one direction. The guide said from the time of leaving the building and returning we had climbed a total of 1,475steps, no wonder my legs are sore to day and I think I am fit lol Anyhow even tho very tired after the weekend it was a wonderful experience. Catch you all later Sandra in the Gong
