Evening All Jood you should know we all worry about our fellow Wattlers. And after having pneumonia last year, and Im sure anyone who has had it can vouch the same, it doesnt take much to have a relapse. Gwenda mmm a massage by a manservant sounds nice, however I have had probs with my back over the last couple of months, not sure exactly what is going on but it seems if I am up and about a lot or standing for a while doing stuff, by afternoon my back grabs everytime I stand up or sit down, once Im seated it is ok, but if I stand for a few minutes it starts aching, however I go to bed and once I get comfy and get to sleep, I wake up in the morning with not a sign of pain, so no idea what is going on !!! Well I will go and get organised for bed. Catch you all tomorrow. Cheers Sue

Hi all, Busy, busy, busy today. Good news about the house, Mary. Mr Picky was always going to make a pathetic offer! Not sure I want to be psychoanalysed by a Cat!! LOL Julie, I haven't met anyone who liked those subjects - they just need to be endured. I also have extremely strong opinions as to what should happen to such offenders. I would never be chosen for jury duty! I think it is time that we - The Public - should strongly make our opinions known in such cases so that the consequences do fit the crime. (better stop - you haven't seen me on a soap-box before!) I have a joke!!!! This is a world first as usually I can't remember them :) Mr and Mrs X had a baby boy. They decided to name him Odd. The poor child had a dreadful childhood and a miserable time at school because of his name. High School was worse and Uni not much better. Even when he got a job he was teased mercilessly about his name. Even in old age the Social Security people used to giggle about his name whenever he had to submit his pension details. Finally, as he was approaching the end of life he made his relatives promise that his name would not be shown on his grave. Just the date of birth and date of death. His wishes were carried out and his headstone was engraved without his name. The ploy ,however, was a complete failure. As people wandered about the cemetery - as you do - they would pass by the headstone, stop and exclaim: Isn't that Odd? Hz, thank you soooo much. Evening Watlers I didn't realise how useful these lap tops were. I'm ironing, preparing a chook dish for Graeme's evening meals at work, on here and watching the news! i couldn't have done all that while sitting in the back room at the old '98'. I should have got one of these years ago. Mary....hope your settlement goes well. Laurie...did Beetson write the book or get a 'ghost writer' to do it for him? Shazz you iriot - Faye is supposed to be meeting you and me for lunchy's not gallivanting around in Bathurst !!!! .... Daughter never mentioned it today when I saw her, so I guess she has accepted it ok. (diabetes) .... We were marvelling over the fact that 11 week old Lucas has a tooth coming through!!! ... Not that it might stay there, it could go back, and up and down etc.... I went out to lunch today and all the ladies gave me some meat for Jann's dog (and the two cats and even the two girls wanted some) (girls being the chooks) .. I tell you I was one very popular person today. Tassie dont overdo it with the h*********k - you know thats not good for you. .. Please dont worry about me. .. I asked a few people yesterday was it cold up here in their houses, and they all said yes. .. I wasn't sickening for anything - Im fine, just get a bit tired occasionally. .. I have a g/f who everytime she sees me, peers down my neck to make sure Im wearing a singlet!!! .. Up to the point when she first rang me, I'd kept forgetting to put one on, but while she was talking to me on the phone, I had one hand in the drawer pulling out a singlet to put on straight away. Now I wear them all the time (in winter, that is). .. So someone is keeping an eye on me! Mary .. good news about the house, I hope you are happy with the final price. Errrm .. I have to dub Faye in - she CAN talk, believe me - we both can, and go nineteen to the dozen when we meet! Jood

Okay, that's it! You all have to visit NOW! I have cleaned this place to within an inch of it's life!! Every skirting board, window sill, painting, bedside table,. etc., etc., etc,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me 9 bleeding hours and now I'm done!! What idiot designed a house this big? Oh, that's right, my brother-in-law! I think this might be a revenge design! Ba***rd!!!! Terry is cooking dinner, which is good, 'cause I don't have the energy. Office girls taking Terry and me for lunch tomorrow, so I think I'll make it a long one! i'm eating tea and reading this at the same time. hi faye i'm new too. i'm so glad you're blonde. i'm a blonde in a slump. i dyed my hair auburn colour, but it mades me look and feel dismal. i added some streaky bits.now doesn't look as i've really done too much at all. anyhow...do you relate to a blonde joke? sometimes i can't even see why they are soooo funny. 2 blondes, 1 on one side of the river spots the other blonde on the other side. Hi All, finally home and tea is organized so time for a quick chat. Faye ...and I was concerned we would corrupt you, something tells me you are already beyond help...lol DIY Jude has messaged me about the Syd meet and I will see what I can do but its Mums birthday and OH has the state titlles that weekend so a bit of fancy footwork will be needed. Good arvening all . . . hope you have all had a lovely day. Mary I am so pleased for you that the house sale is going well - fingers crossed for a quick, smooth settlement. Living in limbo is not fun is it. I am so disappointed in myself, I have let my dislike for all things football to interfere in my family history research. I dont know how many times I have seen the book 'Big Artie' written by Arthur Beetson the footballer and passed it over not wanting to read about football. Arthurs dad and my gran were brother and sister. Well today Marie picked up a copy at the bookstall for $5 and started to read it and there is a photo of my gtgrandparents in it - Arthurs grandparents! I have photos of all the other great grandies, they were the only ones without a photo of them together (have one of gtgran Beetson, but not gtgrandfather). Have just written him a letter asking for a copy of the original. Marie has read out a few things on the phone to me that I know to be not on the right track, so I'll send him a copy of the tree and the references to put him straight. He also wrote that his gt grandparents arrived in South Aust - the only state I haven't looked for them !!!! Pot of soup on the stove, quiche in the oven, this place is smelling all yummy! If the flammin smoke detector would stop beeping (I know I have a new battery) all would be fine with the world. Hope you girls in Qld had a nice time today Cheers all luv Laurie

G'day to everyone, hope all the sick people are feeling better and the travellers are having fun. Mary hope all goes well for the house moving. Devilly look after that back, maybe a massage will do wonders. I am still tired after my weekend, have been busy with scapbooking, I have 2 projects on the go and one needs to be finished by August, easy you say yes but not when I keep changing my mind about different pages. Hello to Kaye I'm sure you will have fun on here. WE are having a bit of a fight so to speak with Bigpond, we have broadband but have limited mb only 400 pm which has been fine but the last 3 months have been way over the top, which we think we havent used, anyway I am asking the peeps who send me picture emails to stop for a while so we can do a survey of sorts. Am locked into a contract till Jan so can't change at the moment. We have a usage meter and sometimes it goes up even tho we are out of the house, strange don't you think???? see you later Sandra in the Gong
