Morning Wattlers, Have just had email from another GR member, and Guess what, she lives just around the corner from our Joodles, an still awaiting reply from her, think I might have frightened her off, hope not. Hi to all my insane wafflers, hope some of you are not working too hard Luv Shaz XXX Couple of questions please 1. When you now get messages from GR, do they only come through the GR site and not into your Outlook Express box any more 2. Can anybody just go down to BDM in Sydney and look up for names or do we need proof that we are related, eg, if I needed to look up a persons name that was born after 1905, or can I just go through the files they have Ta Shaz |

Good morning Wattlers, Hope you all have a lovely day. The sun is streaming thru my window, though it is a little hazy out there - so I have perched in the sun and intend to sat here whilever it is about! Really too hazy out there to tell you haw many giraffes are up - not good on the eyes this time of day looking straight into the sun and the haze. But at least I am nice and warm. Heather, Marie is my sister, though her children are more like my siblings. Trifley, yes I think I had that thought too - that Artie might not be able to put a book together, but it was written with an offsider, Marie is as interested in football as me, so she is just reading the bits not related to the footy. Despite the footy though, Arthur is one of the goodguys - football has been kind to him and given him a life he had no chance of at home with the family, not many good role models around. Yes Lyn, I totally concur - love those Grumpy Old Women . . . best show on the box! I totally crack up ! (So does the lovely Ray) Gwenda, I will take up your offer re SA . . . as soon as I go through what I have and sort myself I will be in touch. Von, you should have a visitor today !! The lovely Ray was naughty and forgot on Tuesday when I gave him custody - confessed last night that he only got the yellow express post bag off yesterday ! OH Yes . . . try the card - Marie & Oni had to send me an SOS from London last year, when they got there the new card wouldn't work and they had been advised to carry most of their finances that way. They had left all their old faithful cards with me and I nearly got a quick trip to London to deliver (bugger) - lots of drama to get money to them could have been avoided if they had checked the card worked and taken a back up plan. Just a friendly reminder to talk to all you know about the 2006 census return - make sure everyone you know ticks the box to save the data for public access in 100years !!!! Its up to us to put the topic out there as noone else seems to be doing it! Might be the last chance to change the current process of destroying the data. Off shopping this morning - Ray and I have a custom of buying a nice gold pen and getting it engraved for weddings of those special young people in our lives, and the one we are going to in Bris in Sept is one of those. My God mother did it for us when we got married, we used it to sign the register, to send out thank yous, and it lives in a writing case - is only used for 'us' things. Lew, enjoy your day today - let them fuss over you. That office is going to be different with you not lurking about, spare a thought for the poor girls who are loosing such a bright spark in their day. I'm with you housework is def bad for the health !! Just got this through from Honey Ann . . . QUESTION: You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level, Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also travellint at the same speed as you. What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation ?? ANSWER: Get off the children's Merry-Go-Round, your pissed! Have a great one and will catch up later cheers luv Laurie |

MORNING! One more sleep, yiipppeeee. Heather, it only got to -3.6 here *we're havin' a heatwave, a tropical heatwave* brrrrrr. Vonny, like your excuse to use the plastic, good one! lol. Sounds like an exciting trip. Please take notes 'cause Terry and I will be spending 5 days in Thailand in February, so let me know all about the place. Mary, congratulations on the sale. See, I told you the Pain in the Bum wouldn't get it! Karma. Has anyone spotted Barb & Tony at Wimbleton yet? Should have made them a Wattle sign to hold up. That would have confused the rest of the world. I think I overdid the housework yesterday. I've got aches and pains all over. I knew it wasn't good for you, lol. Well must away and prepare for the day ahead. One settlement and then lunch, heeee, heeeee. Take care and love to all Lew Lew xxx :-))))) |

Hello Wattlers Anna...I know you don't like House....but it must be the bad boy in him I like. Wuldn't like to live with him but he does make an interesting character. Graeme is off on Tuesday 11th & Wed, 12th but is working from 12:30pm on Thursday so can't make it to the sacino. He wants to meet you & Chris so it's better if we go to Tamborine on the Tuesday, if that's convinient with you? Vonny...liked the joke...keep it up. Have you finished packing yet??? Devily...sorry your back is crook. It effecys everthing you do...healing thoughts for you. Lyn...isn't it satisfying when you get some FH done? Hz....(see post for Anna)...Blue eyes...Housies got blue eyes Shaz.....I agree with you about the WA child killer. However....don't be too disappointed if they find him unfit to plea. Unfortunately he will never go into general population so it will be very difficult for anyone to rein forth retribution upon his head. And people say there is a god. What could this sweet child have done to deserve such treatment? I think on that note I will bid you all a good night. Sleep well my cyber-friends. love Trifley X |

Good evening Wattlers House is on so I have been very firm with myself and not stayed to watch as he makes me so mad - he is bitter and twisted and nasty and mean and he could do with some of Dr. Lew's purple anti -psychotic pills. Mary - how wonderful about the house and I add my twopence worth to the throng - I'm so glad Mr.Pernickety Pain in the Butt didn't get it! Hope it all goes through without any hiccups and you can get on with your life in the lovely new unit. Where are Fluffy Duck and co? Lara - are you still talking to them??? Devly - take care of that back. Maybe it's muscular if it feels better after a rest. Trifley - I though you wanted July 11th or 12th as that is when Graham is off. Will Chris be the only poor male there or is Neville coming SuzyQ? Not that Chris minds the company of ladies - in schools he was often the only male staff member and he could certainly hold his own with the women! Vonny - are you packed? What an adventure you have before you. You are very brave. Jood - that is just horrific about that poor child. Appartently, the perpetrator had been up on a similar charge previously but got off on a technicality. The police were furious that he got off last time and are being extremely careful this time that everything is done by the book so that there won't be any loopholes.I'm afraid the most base instincts rise up inside me when a crime like this is committed - Chris says if he was the child's father he'd go after the animal with a gun. One thing, if he goes to gaol and the other prisoners get anywhere near him, his life won't be worth living. Even seasoned criminals have a code of decency about crimes against children. I'll change the subject - I feel so sickened by the whole thing. Heather - sounds as if you had a good clean up in DD's room. I would dearly love to do a blitz on my DD's drawers and cupboards but once they get to almost 16, they feel - and rightly so - that their privacy is being invaded if Mother goes through their cupboards. At least she made a fair job of cleaning the areas that are in public view! Maybe Aunty Lew could come up and sweet talk her into doing a spot of spring cleaning! After spending 9 hours cleaning a new house Lew, every surface must be germ free and sparkling! So - where are the ruddy photos...??????? It's clean - you can take photos!! Hello Faye - we are just a bunch of sweet little ladies who are very prim and proper and wouldn't say s....t for sixpence! But it's not quite full moon yet!!! Welcome aboard. And our mentor is in Paris - he usually stirs us all up and encourages us to misbehave. HI Rudee! Electric blanket should have warmed up the bed nicely by now so I might just toddle off to the land of nod. Be good sweet maids XX Anna |

OH Jood, this is so sad. How would a ( maybe intellectually challenged) person know to do those things unless they had been done to him. I believe the ACT has the weakest laws re porn videos etc. - this has to be addressed, and freedom vs dysfunctional family life has to be debated. Does anyone object now to CCTV (closed circuit television) in public places ?? It’s a very issue to resolve …… I have no answers. Mary - Fantastic News about the house , well done, don’t have any second thoughts about the dollars, you could hold out for more and not sell for months, and Time = Money. So you “ Did Good” . Look forward to the new place with lots of time to enjoy it!! Welcome to Faye – any rellie of Shazz’s is a friend of ours –especially if all her jokes were really yours ! pmsl !! Now don’t get upset Shazz, I’m a bit like Vonny, it’s a miracle if I can remember a joke, but I laugh as loud as the next person at them. “groaaaaaaan” Yvette LOL Devly, snap, we had tuna and noodles for tea, yummy and easypeasy, more time for a bit of a garden tour (b…y cold, but ongoing discussion of backyard renovations) and a movie together ( Good Night and Good Luck, the movie George Clooney made – OH and I lived in USA for quite a while so interesting to us but not perhaps entertaining… its in Black and White so visually arresting, subject matter pretty envigorating – one for Lew to enjoy in her retirement lol) DD14 has landed OK, now in Rotorua for 5 nights, singing her little heart out I hope, lots of fun activities eg tonight a Hangi and Maori culture night ( just wait till she hears them sing!!), Laurie will know what she’s in for. Meanwhile I get to chose the TV progs ( House !!) Laurie – tut tut – one must overcome one’s predjudices you know, to become enlightened – and you have, despite the football, discovered gems of family history lol – (is Marie your sister or cousin, I guess you mentioned but I can’t remember). Vonny I knew you were out today but still a bit nervous I’d sent too many images for easy download- don't want your computer to crash (hides head under blanket) but then it was ancestry stuff that you couldn’t get yourself and I’ve left all the bdm’s to you!! OH went shopping today, came home and THREW OUT OLD STUFF !! Miracles DO happen ! SO I’m off to sort, fold, tear up into polish rags, and pack a garbage bag of giveaways for Lifeline bin. Nite all. Hz in Albury (-6 dg forecast tonight!) |

My sister also said The police have made an announcement on the TV to say that the murder of the little girl and the guy is not related to the Bolger Case in England and that all the emails etc that are going around at present will make it harder when the case goes to trial, so not in their words 'Just cool it'. So I hope everyone shuts up about it (the rumour) - otherwise the guy will get off. Sorry, I didnt mean the Wattlers, I meant the general public. Jood |

Jood I just saw your post that you put on while I was typing. I used to get a backache after being in bed, usually if I sleep in a hard bed it will play up, but a soft bed I have no problems, but as you said a hot shower does wonders in that case but doesnt seem to do much with what I have at the moment, have tried it to no avail. Just popping my head around the door to say Hi. I haven't been on the boards much this week as I have actually been doing some family history (!!) as I have received 7 certs this week from GRO, so have been updating info. Plus of course I have work during the day. Tried to whizz back through the thread to catch up on all the goss, but haven't had a chance to read all the pages, but I gather Mary has sold her house - congrats. I trust it wasn't to Mr Picky??? SuzyQ - you said you'd send me the list of all the Wattlers, did you remember or has the email gone off into cyberspace? Or worse still did I give you the wrong email address?? Shazz - you're in for a cold night out at Mount Annan, I even had to scrape the ice off the windscreen this morning. Did any of you see the program Grumpy Old Women last night on ABC? I can so relate to what they say! OK girls will leave the room now as am surrounded by family history that needs sorting and if I don't say bye now I won't achieve anything. Have a good night. Lyn |
