Hubby came home and I was reading the thread, he shook his head and said thats all I needed, being encouraged to spend more time on the computer. He walks past sometimes and if I am searching on an ancestry site he stands behind me saying 'I see dead people', yes well he thinks he is funny. Morning all Wattlers - and especially our party girl Lew the Retirement Queen! Congratulations dear Lew Lew and may your party be the beginning of something wonderful. I remember my last day on the job and it was such a feeling of euphoria - make sure you enjoy it to the full. And the good thing is that you will be able to continue the social contacts which is the only bad thing about giving up work - not having the daily contact with colleagues. Congratrulations Julie puss - you have done very well and deserve the break ahead. I hope you will enjoy your free time also. Gosh it's party time everywhere. Love the party venue that you set up for Lew - every inducement to celebrate! Laurie - would you put on some Beach Boys and Bee Gees music for me please and Ooooh! Black Betty and Cotton Eyed Joe to get me in the mood! Jood - I have some goat's milk soap too with the little picture of the goat on it - but I couldn't bear to use it - it is so cute! It was given to me by a friend who is a Uni lecturer at the Gatton Ag Campus - his speciality is goats! Our house has returned to normal - teenage visitor has returned home and there are not so many squeals and giggles aroung the place! However, I think we have grandson for the weekend and a different teenage girl due to arrive next week so my peace is temporary! Hi Tony and Barb- enjoy London! Good Morning Wattlers Congratulations Lew - the big day at last! The best bit will walking out the door this arvo and breathing a huge sigh of relief. The next best bit will be waking up Monday morning without an alarm and knowing everyone else is at work - forever !!!!! Congratulations Mary - so glad Mr Penickity didn't get the house. Congratulations Cat - are you purring with success well done in your exams. The party room looks great, mmmm especially the half naked waiters.
