Hi Fanny No it was in Tasmania at New Norfolk, not sure if that part is Derwent River or whether it is called something else up that part.. It was definately a thrill and as I love boats it is something I would do again at the drop of the hat. I did see on an tourism ad for Sydney that evidently they have one there as well!! Ooh Lowndes won the weekends racing and moved closer to number one spot overall for this year Yay!!! Go Fords!!!! Ooh no Tony and Lara are also going to be unhappy little vegemites. Cheers Sue |

Afternon Wafflers I've had my coffee, a sit in the bewdiful winter sun and caught up on the news headlines. Not that there was much to catch up on.....disappearing furniture, stupid 'bomb prank' footballers and the latest speculation about the Big Brother house. A very slow news day. Hi Yvette...where do you work? Are you changing jobs or just venues? SuzyQ...good luck with your weight loss. You should talk to Devily. She did a tremendous job losing weight. She might be able to give you some tips. I've got some ironing to do....anyone want to do it for me? Don't all volunteer at once. Didn't think any of you were that silly. I'll see you alll later. Afternoon SuziQ Yes I do agree with you it is better being there. We will be at the track when the V8's come to Tassie in November. Sorry I havent been to weight watchers or know anyone who has been, so I cant help you much. I decided to go it alone as you know, but you do have to be committed and stick to the plan. Cheers Sue |

Afternoon luvvies, Pam - already started on a Semillon when I got in from work just after 12 - not a bad drop from Margaret River. OH at mate's watching Crows do Cats and getting the washing done - laundromat closed today - thank god for Fred. I'll be ironing tonight - just enough to get daughter ready for work - don't want to overdo things Shouldn't mention the footy as Jude2 might not be happy - sorry Should have hit the wine on Friday when washing machine flooded - would have done me more good than the chocolate - lol Good on ya Tassie for carrying on June's work. Anna - glad your brother's luggage finally turned up - hope it had a nice holiday - bit like the gnomes that go tripping off - but without the photos to show where they've been. Sun is out now but we had some drizzle earlier on. Trying to do some FH but really can't get into it - so much paperwork here that I don't know whether I'm Arthur or Martha - a bit of filing wouldn't go amiss I think, so maybe I'd better try that instead. Catch up later Gwenda PS - Lara where are ya - must be having a rooooly good time - we miss ya Hi to Susan & welcome Congrats to Lew - way to go - easiest way to have a baby without the swollen ankles, morning sickness, et al |

Yvette I just looked back on the last couple of messages. I havent been white water rafting, but I have been in a Jet boat that has gone up a river doing 360's and skimming down over small rapids that have minimum water going over them and fishtailing up the edge of the river. The boat is called the 'DevilJet' wonder why I liked it soooo much??? pmsl. I did see where they had one that goes about on the Sydney Harbour. Dont know if it will be as hair raising!!! Cheers Sue |

Just thought that I would take a last look in for today before I signed off. I am not much of a football fan, but I do enjoy the occasional car race. Prefer to be there though to soak up the atmosphere. The noise and the smell. Enjoy your chardy Pam, not too many now, the sugar doesn't like too much. I am thinking of joining Weight watchers. Any one been? The only way I am going to lose weight is to have some one watching over me and it's the nearest thing to a personal trainer that I can afford. Would love some feed back. Meetings are on Tuesday's so I will give it a try this week. See you all tomorrow Luv SuzyQ |

guys , just read the bit about knitting vs. white water rafting. i'm kinda sticking up for both camps here because... i like knitting, but also reckon the best thing i've ever done (well almost) is go white water rafting in the most amazing hugest rapids in taiwan. i also like rapids in the kayak. i think any normal well adjusted girl can quite adequately do both . |

back for a mo. making sure those polenta cakes haven't gone off over night. chucked some veges together for soup. hope it lasts 2 days. gotta get the ' thing ' taken off my face tomorrow. will be in no fit state to cook when i get home... stuffing last of cake down gobhole and nearly choking... theres a motive to the junk mail thing as well. i have to advertise my new work venue over the next couple of weeks. i'm going to be walking about doing a letter box drop for that, thought i may as well combine the 2. also am doing a friends husbands. he's an appliance fixer. it doesn't cost a cent to be nice you know. i've got probably 150 -200 houses left to go. lotsa love yvette |

And a happy, happy afternoon to you all. It is an absolutely glorious day here on the GC. The sun is shining, the sky is blue, the birds are singing and all is right with the world. Hi E-vette..how is the junk mail going? Is there anything about specials we should know about? Hello Susan maidman...welcome to the happiest thread of them all. You don't have to be crazy to enjoy your visits here.....but it helps..lol. You and E-vette could have a mini-mini meet all of your own...:) Hi Lew Lew..did the partners come to the party? How is the head this morning? A good pick-me up is to take 2 panadol, a multi-B vitamin and wash them down with a bloody Mary. It works for me...lol Hi Rebs....how ya going? You should be out on the waterfront eating fish & chips. Jude2...what you baking? Anything tasty? Hi Anna....how's the new camera going? It's such a nice afternoon I think I'll go sit in the sun for a while. I'll check in later. 'Byeeee TrifleyX |
