Congrats puddy tat, well done. Jill When we were leaving I meant to thank you once again for the lovely piece of wattle you brought each of us today. Really appreciated. Jill gave all of us a piece of wattle made out of sugar (sweets) today. Made by her own little hands. She is one clever little chook. No SuzyQ, not one of yours. Welcome Maureen, I is the only sane one. Be careful of the Doc. Hi Tony, did you find the tin of spag? Oh bu**er, how did you mangage to 'over cook' it. Hi Fitz, what is the weather like at the moment. 25 deg C here today in sunny Queensland and we are in our winter season. Would love to visit Anchororage. Hi Vonny, glad you had a good trip apart from 'the getting home part'. I also need to be a bit tougher re bargaining. Jood, I agree with you. Us Queenslanders don't waffle as much as some others I could mention. Taken me ages to catch up. Tassie, we all have craft moments. Sign of the age. Donna, I'll be in that - trying all the eating places on the coast. No Donna, don't be sorry, the lunch was not cut short by you. Family do come first. Softly, softly - SuzyQ, do you know of anyone who can do a r**n dance. Had a good trip home, only saw one little camera bug, hope he didn't see me. Ahhhhhh - history and geography, loved them both but unfortunately the subjects my parents wanted me to study at high school - hist and geog were not included. nuff said !!! Had a great day.We were all very well behaved, and we didn't even get thrown out of the place. lol The poles, we won't talk about. oh is cooking prawns for dinner. Love seafood, but tonight am not really hungry. Any bites Back later Pam |

I agree with you wholeheartedly Vonny - I loved geography, hated history, but didnt really take it all in (or forgotten it, one or the other!) I never knew that I would end up living in the Blue Mountains. As you know some of our towns here are Blaxland, Lawson & Wentworth Falls. Even my town of Springwood is historical - and I live in Macquarie Road too (My maiden name was Lochlin, hmmmmm - but not spelt Lachlan). .. I appreciate Australian history so much more now, and often visualise how our ancestors coped when they first arrived in Australia. Jood |

Funny, I loved geography as a kid and thought history was booooooring. NOW, I find history fascinating, especially as it impinges on my family history. Somehow it all fits together when you have an ancestor living in it!!! Maybe I ought to write a new history curriculum!!! At least for Australian history. I'm sure I would have appreciated Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson's efforts to find a road over the Blue Mountains if I knew then that my great great grandfather was going to travel on it to Bathurst! Hi, good to see some of you got home safe and sound. Trifley, you been in the internet cafe. I thought that I would beat you to it. Had a lovely time again, nice to meet Donna Gina and Jill at last. Jill, the wattle was a lovely surprise you are very talented. The photo of the wattle turned out nice but the other photos weren't so good. A bit blurred I mustn't have had enough to drink. never mind I am sure that the others will have done better. It wasn't cut short Donna, we had to get home to our dog, who is seldom left and suffers from separation anxiety. She was fine though we could have stayed longer. Also the others had long drives home especially Pam. Yes we will have to think about organising a christmas do. Any suggestions. Haven't had time to catch up on the thread yet, will do it tomorrow. It's a bit cold here now, looks a bit like r**n. I am whispering now, if I say that word too loud it may hear me and run away. Well must go Luv SuzyQ |

Afternoon Wattlers Geee I think I had better go back to bed and start the day again :-(((( Only thing it is too late for that now. I woke DD up at the usual time of 6.50 this morning, got my usual good morning cuddle and she went to kitchen and got her breakky and got herself ready for school. I, on the other hand felt like all I wanted todo was sleep, I dragged myself out of bed at 7.30 instead of about 7.00, realised I had 2 loads of washing to do, I didnt do much else, took DD across the road to the bus and then went for my walk, paid billa, went to the city and done some FH stuff. DD came home from school holding her belly. When I asked what was wrong she said she had hunger pains as I didnt pack any lunch or recess for her :-((((((( How could I forget to do that?????? Anyway hello Fitz, Im nearly as far South as you are North, Im on the little island state of Australia, called Tasmania. Trifley, so glad you all had a good time at the meet, we wait on edge of our chair for pickies lol. Any poledancing??? Well better go and get washing off line before night air comes down as it nearly is. 30 Sleeps Cheers Sue |

Oh stop sulking, Jood! That bottom lip looks very unattractive, dangling down like that. Now don't you pick on Tony 'cause he's been doing a mammoth job sorting out my irish ancestors and I don't want him upset! He can put his smelly shoes and shoddy sock wherever he likes! lol And I didn't purposely dump you, I just got, well, ummm, sidetracked and we retirees are allowed to do that, ppppppppp. I went to Alaska and Canada last year and cruised the inside passage on the Seven Seas Mariner. It was the best time! Then went on the Rocky Mountaineer railway and met a wonderful couple from Florida. We're still in touch. In fact, we're in touch with other people we met on a cruise from Tahiti to Australia back in 2003. It's a great way to meet people and we've even been to visit them in their native countries and they, of course, have been to visit us! Lew Lew xxx |

Jarra, it was a conference for my voluntary work. I teach English as a second language to Korean missionaries who work for an organisation called YWAM - Youth with a mission :) The department I 'work' for is called BRIDGE International and we major on research skills (in English!) before sending them on their way. They have a conference in a different country each year - usually in Asia as it is cheaper for them to get to it. I haven't been to one of the conferences for three years so thought I'd better go to this one :) Vonny |

Cna't wait to see the photos Vonny, I should have given you the address for my friend who runs an orphanage in Chiang Mai for hiv bubbies. She's an incredible person. Lew x |
