Where is the jogger this morning???? Everyone was tucked up early last night - no stayers (not that I stayed up either) Cold and dark here in the mountains at 6:28am (I've been up since before 6). .. Looking outside, you'd think it was the middle of the night! .. All my joints were aching this morning - must have been cold during the night - or something! Jood

Well i was the opposite as a child. I hated Geography and loved History. My 2nd love ( apart from Genealogy ) is Archaeology, and anything to do with, or study of the human past. ( probably what lead me to Genealogy ) Unfortunatley, i was a high school drop out, and only saw a half term of form 1 ( year 7 ) before i hit the road. After my father died in 62 i took off and never finished schooling. I was 13 and knew it all,( like all 13 year olds ) but it did lead me to many interesting places working my way around Oz, and was an education in itself. Love reading and learning about Australian history, and at the moment reading a book called 'Finding Australia' The history of Australia to 1821 by Russell Ward. Also a book called 'People of the past' Its a story of Human Origons and development. Tony Oz...:>))

Helllloooooo Wattlers! I'm back home after a delightful few days on Mt. Tamborine - lots of walking through rain forest, eating and sleeping. How perfect! Met Trifley and Graeme yesterday at St. Bernard's Hotel - complete with an enoromous St. Bernard dog - and we had a lovely afternoon chatting, eating and admiring the view. Then today, down to the casino to meet up with the Wattlers. Lovely to meet new faces - Jill and Donna - and of course lovely to catch up with Wattlers whom I've previously met. Lots of tiaras - we looked like the royal table! Jill - thankyou for making our wattle sprays. What a lovely gesture. Now I'm going to let you into a little secret. Chris and I drove Trifley over to Pacific Fair and we met her son, the lovely Mark. Then we strolled off down the mall and I suddenly realised Queen Trifley still had on her trarara! He, he, he, heeee! She was going to keep on swanning around in it but eventually decided to leave it with Mark for safe keeping! Oh our lovely Queen - what a card! Haven't looked at my casino piccies yet - will see if I can sort some out later. Haven't read the messages yet either - just noticed that you are home Vonny - welcome home. Did you see that we kept your word threads going? Well, will drop in later Glad to see that everyone arrived home safely from the Gold Coast. Luv Anna
