Jood The mud I might have fallen in, certainly wasn't here in sunny Qld. Might have been down Melbin way. I think it was Tony who dubbed me that. Pam |

Happy Birthday Lew, so nice to hear you've been treated royally, as you so deserve !! Enjoy afternoon tea ! Hi everyone else, wasn't the rain lurvely, I actually got out in thegarden yesterday afternoon and redistributed some plants, hoicked out heaps of weeds, the earth was so soft, looking forward now to spring. Congrats Tony on being a grandad yet again, more claims on the eventual estate eh !(Quick, spend the inheretence lol) I spent the morning in court ! Purpose was subtle as DD14 was with me, we just went to observe. Local sessions are right across the road from us and we often see the crowd, I figured she should know what goes on. So a court staffer showed us around and we heard a couple of sentencings of traffic crimes, and a few AVO matters etc. I could have stayed there all day listening. DD14 came away very interested in taking Legal Studies later on, she saw quite a few people doing different jobs, police, volunteers, lawyers etc, so it was good to do. OK, I'm off the the gym, back to school tomorrow for our household, and Eistedfodd coming up at the end of the month (DD14 does a little bit of Drama). Back later in the week Hz |

Afternoon Wattlers, Mmmmmm quince, Love it, we had a tree at our last place and we miss it now. I bought some at a market a few weeks ago yum. I am stewing rhubarb that OH picked yesterday. The plant is one that has been in the family for 3 generations, and i am about to divide it again to give to my children who love it. MIL moved into a retirement village and we planted her rhubarb for her, and the stupid gardener sprayed it with round up. He thought it was a weed, lucky we still had a healthy plant that had come from hers years ago. Now she just gets it from us, doesn't trust the gardener not to do it again lol. Happy Bday Lew, hope you are having a good one. I have been doing a spot of gardening this afternoon, and am just about ready for my version of a vb tablet. Speaking of drinks, does anyone make their own Alcoholic ginger beer?, i made some a while ago and i doesn't seem very fizzy, anyone know what i have done wrong, it tastes good, just not much fizz. I make normal ginger beer all the time and have no trouble with not enough bubbles it that. Takc Care All Wilson |

Gwenda, when I was a kid I looooooved Quince jam - I don't know who made it - probably an Aunt or someone, but I havent tasted it since!!! I never see it around to buy it either. Lew glad you had a lovely lunch - it does seem more than 6 months since we've known you, but it feels like a longer time - you guys are all part of my everyday life. By the way, I use a Microsoft Intellimouse - Im on my 4th, I think now. .. They are under warranty for 3 years, and there has always been something wrong with them before the 3 years is up. I send them back to M/soft every time, with a note and they send me a newbie!!! .. You'd think by now they would realise there is something wrong with them. .. I'm sure the warranty was for longer before, but now its 3 years. .. I'm keeping a note of the date of this one for future reference! On Bigpond (I hate them) - why dont you guys all change your passwords then, and see if it makes a difference to your usage? Pam why are you the little black duck now - I thought you were fluffy and yellow - did you fall in the mud? ~~~~~~~~~~ to all. Jood |

SuzyQ - I have a cousin who had trouble with bigpond - someone was accessing their account - they only found this out after going into a Telstra shop and staff said that is what happens - then tried to cover their gaff by saying it doesn't - anyway password was changed there and then and within a few days of new setup they were over their limit - strange cos they weren't at home to use it - changed password again and hasn't happened since. Vonny - I've been simmering mine since this morning so that's about 4 hours now - just turning pink - didn't think they took this long when I was younger - maybe Mum had the heat up higher - anyway cloves are making the house smell nice. Hope you brought your washing in - its drizzling here again - was hanging mine when it started - b****r - had to bring it back in. Back to the bathroom - up to the floor - shower looking better but will need another go on the glass Drop back in a while |

Afternoon Waffler, back from lunch. Seafood platter for 2 and a very nice little Sauv Blanc. Could life get any better? No.! I'd just like to thank you all so very much for all your wishes and ecards. I must say it's a little overwhelming and to think I only came to know you lot about 6 months ago. You all feel like family to me and I'm touched. Some friends are coming over for afternoon tea, including baby Ruby, so I'll be able to have lots of snuggles! Lew Lew xxx |

I'm lucky here that my son is a bit more clued up to do the tech stuff in our house. O h and I are both hopeless. SuzyQ - what a bu**er. Young ones, so unreliable. ~~~~~ to the royal 'one' Pam |

Afternoon Wafflers, Just having a break from the bathroom. Pam - OH is on a training course with work - well that's the excuse - none of that was mentioned in the email - pppp The govt. takes a big risk with him using million dollar equipment but I can't let him loose on the the VCR - totally clueless He's back on the 1st August. Jude2 - I am soooooo glad your team had a win - thought I'd heard result in Port's favour and wasn't happy Girls, girls, girls - please can we all stop being so prissy - period costume is not the way to go - we could all hold up our family trees - they'd cover a multitude of sins - course if I had to show just my immediate family you'd all be in trouble - thankfully all my grandies had lots of siblings - went downhill after that - pmsl SuzyQ - loved that joke Laurie - sorry about your friend but notice he was replaced by twins - he sounded so special it needed 2 to replace him. Loved the pickles too - our wharfies wouldn't last an hour. Enjoy your day out - think your lil buddy might be tucking you into bed tonight Better get back to the bathroom - just enjoying the smell of cloves coming from the kitchen - stewing some quinces - yummy Catch up at next break Gwenda~~~~~~waving~~~~~~~ |

Good afternoon wattlers. Hope you enjoyed the lunch Lew, Did you wear the ear-rings. I can see you, early morning prancing round the bedroom in ear-rings and limo shoes and night time attire. (Especially if you sleep in the altogether) LOL Pam, no they didn't turn up to look at the car. He sounded to be very young and the young ones don't like to put themselves out too much. Think it may have been too far for him. It is the car we bought when we first came to Australia a Ford Falcon. It's in very good condition but worth nothing really. The wheels and tyres the most valuable part of it, so we are really selling them and throwing the car in. Today is the start of a new month for my internet, so please can I ask that you don't send me any big big attachments. I feel that I am being done by bigpond and I am trying to moniter it very carefully. Lew can you reduce your photos, please? Sorry to be a bore about it. Well its another sunny day in Qld. Didn't get much rain over the weekend. Good thing is I have all my washing blowing on the line. Lovely drying day. Well, going to pay some bills, be back later Luv SuzyQ |

Happy Birthday to Lew Hope you have a wonderful day - and your earings are beautiful ! Terry has good taste - but we knew that already! Well I'm off for a kiddies day shortly, JoJo and I are going to have lunch at HokaHokaBento, go to Timezone, and then to the park for icecream. I expect to be zonked tonight. Yes, Anna, it is exciting on the FH front, specially being the first contact with birth family for Jacquie, she was adopted at 1 day old, 40years ago. I have been able to give her photos of her 3gtgrandparents, 4gtgrandparents and lots of gts aunt and uncles. What is more amazing is that Jacquie lives just up the road from my friend Debs that we stayed with in UK. Jacquie has been trying to locate her birth mum, but with names like Smith and Harris is has proven to be difficult - so she decided to go backwards to find out who her ancestors were. Well I had better get a move on or I will be late for the little master. Have a great day everyone and catch you later luv Laurie |
