Good Morning Waffling/Wattlers, Very overcast and a bit danp in the Gong, have now got the house straight after having 2 Grandsons stay but it was enjoyable. Hope all the sick people are feeling better now. Mary great news you can move soon, do try and make the 12th. Laurie love your tales from o/s almost like being there, you will feel the change when you get back. Am getting some good feedback from hot matches so as they say everything comes to those who wait. Jood no wonder you slept in with all that walking, still good exercise lol. Well not much to happening today apart from the gym and bits and peices so will pop back later. see you later Sandra in the Gong

Aussieone Report 19 Jul 2006 00:41

Good Morning Wattlers Well I have just got back from my walk, it is a bit nippy out there this morning, I might have some exciting news next week but Im not saying anything till then. David is home from work with the dreaded bug that is going around so it looks like he may be home til Friday or Monday, crossing fingers that I dont get it, we are all getting ready for my Nans 90th Birthday surprise get together next weekend, so we are hoping all the bugs have gone by then. Pam, my Arnolds as far as I can make out are possibly from around Camberwell Area, as Im not familiar with places in England yet, I am not sure if that is near Kent. All I have to go on at the moment is a marriage notice that was placed in the paper of my G-G-Grandparents wedding, in the notice it said that Edward Alexander Arnold was the second son of Thomas Arnold from Camberwell, England, no mention of who the Mother, so I havent worked out why yet. Edward migrated to Tas sometime before he married as the marriage took place in Launceston Tas. Mary you better make it to the Casino on the 12th or we will come looking for you lol. If I can come all the way from Tassie you can have a day off unpacking Gwenda and Vonny I do hope you can also work out a way to be at the meet in Sydney, as I have only met 2 wattlers so far I would love to meeet as many as possible. Laurie you mentioned earlier if there was anything I would like to see while in sydney, well I was thinking if it is a nice day either Saturday or Sunday morning as in no fog or such, a trip up Centrepoint Tower to get a good view of the city might be ok. What do you think? Trifley hope you are looking after Watty bear and not being too much of a bad influence on him lol. 24 Sleeps, Cheers Sue

Morning all Well, I wonder what Watty is up to this morning - dipping his toes in the surf at Surfers Paradise maybe? I hope all this star status doesn't go to his head. Hugs to you Trifley. Sorry there weren't any bits on the card. Can't have you getting over excited. Lew Lew - how are you this morning? I've said it before and I'll say it again - Southern Comfort will do the job every time! Take care. Unfortunately when you're retired, you can't even take a sickie! Hope John is on the improve Vonny. As I said - Southern Comfort! Jood - you walked your legs off yesterday didn't you. Good excuse to have a quiet day today. Heather - we also have our eisteddfod here starting this week. Darling daughter is in eight sections - flute by herself, and band and orchestra with school - so it is going to be a busy fortnight Best of luck to your DD. Mary - so glad grumblebum has come to the party. How's the packing going? Hubby is waiting for me to go for a walk so I'd better get off here or I'll be in the poo! Catch you all later. Love Anna

Gwenda Report 18 Jul 2006 21:14

Good morning, Good morning Hope we are all fit and well today - how's the throat Lew? It's going to be cold and windy here today and I'm spending the day in the Library - got my folder, notebooks and memory sticks all ready - going to be a long day but fruitful. Mary - you've got to take the 12th August off to socialise especially now grumblebum is letting you move in earlier - so long as you have unpacked the essentials the rest will wait for a day. Jood - yes you must have done a lot of walking. Daughter made me walk from Central Station to 55 George Street - took over an hour with a side trip up Martin Place looking for something we never found. Found out later we could have got train from Central to Circular Quay - my feet would have thanked me - oh well all good exercise - lol Laurie - you missed the last Grumpy Old Women last night but wait - you can buy the book at all ABC shops - ppppp Hope the baggage handlers don't get a hernia when they lift your shopping case - do you have a sticker saying 'heavy'. Lara - hope to hear from you soon - we miss ya Have a great day everyone - hope it's a bit warmer where y'all are. Catch up this arvo Gwenda

Hi all, back home again - yes I was home earlier, but had to go out again. Mary, we went to Balmain by bus, then took ferry into Circular Quay. Everyone did different things, some went to Manly and back, one went to Watsons Bay and back, one to the Customs house library, a few went up town (that was me and a g/f) We wandered through the perfume - I mean Myers!!!! lol (anyone who's been to Myer's in Sydney would know what I mean) then through the underground arcade where I introduced g/f to 'Lush' - once I would never go near the place, but they have some great shampoo there which makes the hair go nice and shiny and gives it volume. I converted g/f. That at least one businessman was buying something (it was lunchhour) - proves there is something for everyone there. A fair bit of walking, but I managed, and felt better for it. Tomorrow I am home, and the next day too (I hope). Lew hope you are ok by tomorrow - the yellow/red/white medicine Mary recommends sounds just great. Now you girls will have to teach me how to drink martoonies - I have never had one!!!! Mary - Im expecting you to be at the meet on 12 August!!!!! Nite all Jood

Hey Anna, I didn't need no hangover pills this morning. Was up at 5.45 am to take son to work, but must admit, I did go back to bed today instead of going for my ride. Bit cooler this morning. Sue, I have Arnolds in my family - lots of them, all from Kent England. Not a nice puddy tat. Mary, that is wonderful news. Your prayers were answered with grumblebum mellowing. Big lotto Sat week. We dont settle until the 11/8 but we can move in under licence..I am so pleased as it means we can get out of our house and into the unit before the settlement and that leaves it free for the new owners to move in that day..I think my prayers have been answered and grumblebum mellowed enough to relent...LOL Cant wait as it will be so nice to get back to normal living... Evening Wattlers and thanks for your concern. I've spent the day in the pj's feeling sorry for myself. The throat is still a bit sore, but I'm just having a shiraz which appears to be helping. I'm determined not to let Terry's bug get to me! Perhaps I should be trying one of Trifley's mootinis. I'm just frightened it might remove part of my internal organs on the way through, lol. Cat, you are very naughty lurking about waiting to pinch our numbers. I think we might have to have you declawed!!! Again, thank you all my new friends for making my birthday ever so special yesterday. See ya Lew Lew - the unbirthday girl xxx
