Afternnon Wattlers, It is cold isn't it?, Jood, the dreaded h*******k would warm you up lol, but not much fun. Just turn on the heater and warm up, think of all the days and nights you are away, it all evens out in the end. I have been trying to convince myself to go outside and finish the bit of garden i started yesterday, no luck yet though lol. Sue, I have Arnolds in my tree as well, ? from Cambridge UK. I really havn't done much tree, even though i keep saying i am going to get to it, just don't seem to, so many other things to do.... meet friends for coffee, drinks, meals, walks, . Come on here to catch up with all the wattle dust lol. Went to a Christmas in July the other night, great fun. Hope all the sickies are on the mend, there have been some nasty bugs going around. Good on you Lew - best place to be on a cold day like this. .. I like murder mysteries also - can never remember author's names tho. Hooray, I'm off to the pub further down the mountain tomorrow to have a steak and salad with a g/f. .. I've been hanging out for a decent steak for ages and ages and I'm told they do great ones at this pub. .. Something to really look forward to. .. Yes I do get out and about - at least it keeps me sane and happy, but I do enjoy my times at home chatting on here, doing my Avon, doing 'Money', doing family history, just tidying up my computers, and also occasionally, a bit of ebay. .. I could spend all day here doing one or the other, but grudgingly do a bit of h******k. Brrrrr it's cold now and not even 4pm. The sun has trying to shine through some clouds and not having much luck. B*********r, I'm gonna put the aircon on now, I think I've been punished enough! Jood |

Afternoon All, quiet day in Mudgee. I've just lay on the lounge and finished reading another book Michael Connolly 'The Poet'. It was interesting if you are into murder mystery types. Had another box of flowers and some chocolates delivered today as a belated birthday gift. The place is starting to look more like the florists every day. Well, I think I'll head back to the lounge and start another book. Terry has just brought be 3 more books by PD James. Oh the decisions I'll have to make. Seeya Lew Lew xxx |

Hi Wattlers, Pretty boring here at the moment, I have been doing some stuff for Neville. There is a virtual organ you can download and play with. It a Wurlitzer. You are a rude lot, I know what you were all thinking. I think we are going to have to get neville a computer of his own ao else I will never get on again. Ah Laurie the pampering sounds blissful, I could do with some of that. Watty is having a nice stay on the Gold Coast, but I think when he leaves Trifley he may need a couple of weeks in rehab to dry out LOL Mary, If you are moving on the 7/8 you will be ready for a break on the 12th. It will give you the stamina to get back into the unpacking on the 13th. Donna, will email you. Which showgrounds are you at? Beaudesert or Canungra? Lew I hope you are feeling better, naughty Terry for passing on his germs. You should have banished him to the guest room. Yvette will get back to you. Soon We may be out for the next couple of days, so I hope you are all fit and well and ready for the weekend. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ |

Good morning Wafflers, Glad the sickies are feeling better - Shiraz the new Dr Lew wonder drug !!! If we mix it with Anna's Southern Comfort, Tony's VB tablets and Oh Great Trifley One's martoonis that sounds like one hell of a party to me !!! All packed up - only thing out of the case is the gear to travel in - and darn it !!! I have heaps of space with nothing to put in there . . . but it will have to stay that way I'm afraid its pamper time. I am booked for a massage, and then the hairdressers for a 'creme bath' (best head massage and oil treatment going). This afternoon I have to go to the agent to sign the papers to buy a container of rice for the orphanage we support - so many middle men to get a cut - but at least we know the end result is food on the table not rp in someones pocket. The orphanage management is really good, they have a high priority on education, and many of the children go on to university. We know a young fellow who is an accountant who went through the orphanage. He is the one who recruited us and our friends to help. The children all look well nourished, and clean, and my friends who are doctors provide clinic there 3 days a week. The drug company another friend works for provides milk powder for the babies and basic first aid items. Ray's office is getting new puter system in a couple of weeks time and the old ones will be cleaned up and go into a the study hall - every little bit helps! Biggest problem they have there is that they are soo good to the babies, lots of mummies leave their babies on the doorstep. Just got a little duck joke . . . . guess who it made me think of !!!! Joodles, want me to bring you home some natural heating . . . I so wish it was transportable, not looking forward to cold again. I have had lots of contacts thru GR this past few days, two more this morning, so I am going to be busy when I get home sending off info . . . hope I get some back too !! Will close for now and go get pampered . . . cheers luv Laurie |

Afternoon wattlers Lew Lew - happy belated birthday wishes glad you were spoilt rotten and had a wonderful day. well I've caught up with all the singing, drinking and riotous behaviour over the last 18 pages and have pmsl most of the time, had to wipe the eyes to be able to read. Trifley those martoonies are lethal! - think I'll pass in future made one for Ken to try ( he doesn't get hangovers) - I had a sip and don't think the throat has recovered - paint stripper comes to mind - lol, he thought it was pretty good. Mary hope you will be able to make 12th for casino - grumpybum came through - yeh!!! Update on w/machine - Ken fixed it - but now 1 1/2 weeks later has a different prob. wont spin the clothes - I can see a new washing machine - i think he is not too keen on pulling the old one apart again. The last time he was so traumatised it took 4 VB's to calm him down. lol Heard from oldest son last night - texted me to let us know that he would be moving back home on the 14th of August - just as well we have 2 days in Sydney to prepare us - pmsl. Love how he waited until he was in UK to break the news - I'm just surprised he didn't ask us to move him while he was away - he said he thought about it but it was asking a bit much of us - kind isn't he? Anyway ~~~~~~~ hi to everyone - I have to dash to the bank and meeting my sis for lunch , catch u later jarra |

Lew, we ARE the maddening crowd!! Morning all - had a sleep in today too, as John didn't go to work till late. He shouldn't have gone at all but needs to get things organised for tomorrow! Men!!! (hee hee) Gwenda, how long do you think it will take to reset your internal clock?? ~~~~~~~to Sandra. Glad you're getting feed back. So far every person I have contacted lately has ignored me. Beginning to get a complex. Even the person with the four name matches ignored me and that is very frustrating. Especially when you are dealing with a surname that had less than 20 occurences when I started and many of them were mine!! And now only has 37 on the entire board, AND I know they are all related but they don't! I may have to put the entire tree on here for a while and hope they respond to 'hot matches' but I don't really want to do that at the moment. (it's hubby's tree not mine and I'm doing mine now :) Ah, choices choices. I even had someone once contact me - not on here - and they were so excited to find hubby as a rellie. I gave them some background and asked them to search their end for connecting links, prepared their tree as far as I could and then phoned them and they said that a friend had told them that finding ancestors cost a lot of money and no thank you!!!!! Wouldn't believe that I was doing it for the joy of connecting families and I haven't heard from them since!! (moan over) Got to do the washing. back later :) Vonny |

Morning Wattlers and I'm feeling bright and chirpy today. Terry is wondering why his cold has held on for so long and I'm only lasted a day. I self medicated, that's why. The shiraz did the trick! Mary, I'm soo pleased that you will be moving early. It just gives you the chance to get your stuff out of the way and clean up, instead of trying to move in and out around each other. Anna, I'm sure Katherine will do well in the eisteddfod. She is obviously very talented. O Trifley One, I'm pleased to hear your boys are looking after you and treating you in the manner to which you are accustomed. Jood, you gad about. You're always off in little trips. Sounds like fun. Laurie, from what I can gather, all you have done is eat and shop and party! And there's nothing wrong with that!!! Waving to all my wattler friends ~~~~ Lew Lew xxx |
