Hi Wattlers especially the Queen. Hope you are starting to feel a little less groggy now Trifley. It great to hear from you again. Laurie I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Lew, I was very busy yesterday and never even logged on. It's taken me ages to read all my emails and 8 pages of wattling today. We sold our old car yesterday, the end of another era. The silly young kiwi that bought it, drove it to the coast from here , about 55kl, without it being registered. I hope he made it without being stopped. We then went out after lunch and had tea out. All in all it was quite a good day. Tony, take the plasma thingy off layby, by the time we win there may be something else. LOL It's good this spending the kids inheiritence. Now you can borrow on your house, so they don't even get that when you are gone. I am nowing going to make lunch, will leave you with a joke i got from UK. A few more to come Subject: Gifts Gifts There was a preacher whose wife was expecting a baby, so he went before the congregation and asked for a raise. After much discussion, they passed a rule that whenever the preacher's family expanded, so would his paycheck. After 6 children, this started to get expensive and the Congregation decided to hold another meeting to discuss the preacher's salary. There was much yelling and bickering about how much the clergyman's additional children were costing the church. Finally, the Preacher got up and spoke to the crowd, 'Children are a gift from God,' he said. Silence fell on the congregation. In the back pew, a little old lady stood up and in her frail voice said, 'Rain is also a gift from God, but when we get too much of it, we wear rubbers.' And the congregation said, 'Amen.' Morning all :) So great to see others playing the word games with us (even if they can't spell! ppppppp - its all good fun :) Hope you had a great night's sleep Trifley. I'll be spending more time with hubby and the boat today! Someone asked about fishing? Not with this boat yet. John is 'restoring' it, an old wooden clinker-built putt putt. Restoring this boat basically means rebuilding but using the old materials!!! He is up to putting on the planks and there are literally hundreds of copper nails that have to be placed, secured and peened over. (get your dictionary lol) My job is to hold the heavy metal bar called a dolly on each nail while he works on the other side. This stops the nail being pushed through :) There are over a thousand of them - will be a looooooong month. Laurie, what a hard and difficult time. I am glad you and Ray are back in Australia to give support to the family. ((((Hugs)))). back later 'ron Vonny |

Morning Wattlers and a special wave and deep bow to O Trifley Regal One! Jood, pmsl, moral defective! I think that is what I shall call the Essex one from now one, lol. Tony, Tony, Tony! Now I know why Terry had that vasectomy after the birth of his third child. To save me the aggrevation, lol. What a considerate man! Tassie, I'm doing what I can to try and change the Bright dates, but there's just so much a girl can do! lol Rebs, you naughty lurker. I have visions of you greedily rubbing your hands together with a wicked smirk on your face. Glad to see you back on the Thread Your Majesty. The tone of the place is lowered when you are not amongst us! No Lotto again! What are we doing wrong??? Laurie, that's terrible news about Denny. How awful for her parents, but at least if her organs are donated to others in need, her parents will know that she is living on in others. Thoughts are with you, mate. Be brave. SuzyQ, you're very quiet! What you doing? Waves to all the other crazy, but lovely, Wattlers. Raining in Mudgee today, hooray. Time to do, ummm, oh that's right, nothing! Lew Lew xxx |

Good mornig dear Wafflers Oh Laurie- how sad to come on here this morning and hear your latest update on Denny. How our lives can change in an instant. Nancy and Bill must be going through hell but I know they must be very appreciative of your support. So sorry, Laurie. I was talking to Chris about the horrific rise in the number of accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists and often they are hit and run. Are people becoming more impatient and more callous? So much road rage around. One of my dear Mum's favourite sayings was 'Man's inhumanity to man makes countless thousands mourn.' We can see this in Lebanon at the moment but not only do we see such inhumanity in war zones - it is happening in our own neighbourhoods. Ask anyone who works for family services. Well, that's my sermon for a Sunday morning. On to brighter things. How is ya Queenie? Hope you had a fair night's sleep and that you will be burning up cyber space today! Gentle hugs for our Trifley. Hello Rebs - just flitting through again I see! Methinks you just happen to flit through at the most opportune times!~! Congratulations and condolences as appropriate to the various footy team supporters. OH had the Brisbane Lions and then the Broncos on telly last night - what a wipeout of a Saturday night! Glad your daughter had a great birthday party Devly. It's so hard as they get older to strike the right balance between safety and letting go the apron strings. Glad the only thing that happened was the loss of a battery. Tony - is it me for the Lotto entry next Saturday? Oooh - it's the big one. Now Jood - no more negative thoughts about Tony and his big plasma thingy. We're going to get lucky one day soon! Just realized - a special day coming up for Lady Lara at the end of the month so she'd better get back on here quick smart. Waving to all the Wattlers - have a peaceful Sunday - and be kind to each other. We need a lot more kindness and caring in the world. Love Anna |

Oh that was the best . . . coming on to see the Return of the Queen . . . Hope you have a good sleep and feel even better tomorrow dear lady. Sneaky little Rebs . . . bet she was just passing agian teeeheee Things out at the hospital are too bad to go into details, suffice to say the only reason they haven't turned the machines off is that Denny was adamant that she be a donor if anything ever happened to her. A parents worse nightmare - and it hurts to see Nancy and Bill going through it. We took them out to dinner to give them some time away from the hospital, and plenty of hugs - they know we are here if they need or want anything. All I want for Christmas is a magic wand. Den didn't live in Condo, she was just there visiting her rellies for her birthday - she lives out further at Euabalong West, a little railway siding west of Lake Cargelligo. She had just finished restoring an old cottage out there - had the carpets laid 2 weeks ago, and a slow combustion stove went in last week . . .not fair! Thats right Anna, Joodles is a naughty girl . . . and no one is to unpack anything Tony - we have to be ready . . . positive thoughts only from Wattlers !!! Devily, I dont think its up to us to change Terry's mind . . . that's Lew's domain !! I for one have utmost faith in her ability so expect to see her here. On that note I will head for bed and catch you all tomorrow cheers luv Laurie |
