IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE QUEEN: 'I don't want to be on the line too long and miss calls from my rels so could you please pass on the good news to the Wattlers? The surgeon said the path report showed NO involvement of the arm pit lymph nodes. At this stage it appears that the little bastard was confined to the breast............Trifley does a most refined 'Yahoo' at this point. I'll have to have an Irish bone scan....'to be sure, to be sure' (this said in an awful accent)....and also a small course of radio-therapy on the chest area. This is also to cover all bases. The drain tube comes out on Wednesday and then I can go home.....(unrefined) Yiiipppeee! To the loving arms of my family and REAL coffee! Jill from Ipswich came in to visit me today, she even wore a yellow blouse and a sprig of the Wattle she made for the Gold Coast meet. Aren't these mad Wattlers a fantastic bunch of people? I'm sure my speedy recooperation has been in no small way due to the support I've received from the mad lot. Vonny. The best thread I have seen for a good laugh was a takeoff of a newbee asking for help on the boards and starting of with so little info it was so funny...All made up and not personal.. everyone just added to it and it went on for ages and every entry had me in stitches.. It started with something like I am looking for my grandfather who lived with his old mother in Kent and they said he was a farm labourer.. can anyone help me find him...it just went on from there with everyone adding ridiculous bits..It got to a stage where htey said he was a prisoner in jail so I added he might have been sent to OZ in a convict ship and his name was now probably Dingo Jones.. do you remember it.. it went on for ages and just go added to bit by bit..really funny.. What do you all think??? I don't want to start it or be the narrator figure as I already have threads and too many by one person is just greedy. Evening Wattlers, Just dashing thru as I need to wash hair, get tea, do dishes - all the things I didn't get to do cos of work and guess what - I have to work again tomorrow - hope workmate doesn't have whooping cough - blood test should reveal something and I'll know more tomorrow. Thank you Lara for your belated birthday wishes. I had a great day with lots of cards, messages, phone calls and visits. It makes one feel very special. Thanks for the info Vonny. I just need a little runabout for me. We already have a big Nissan Challenger and you'd be surprised just what an ordinary sedan can do in the country. I use to drive my old 1982 Commodore around the paddocks mustering cattle. You really don't need a 4WD for a lot of situations. Mary, surely you're too young for a retirement village! Mary, so pleased for you. happy moving :) Lew Lew, we have a Subaru Forrester- they are a bit more expensive but the all wheel drive is great for the country and the 4-wheel drive marvelous for the bush. You really can go off road in them and the height clearance is better in the newer models. We have it for camping and pulling the boat. The boat was complete when we got it - except for the rotting planks, the worm-eaten holes, the wood-rot and decay and the missing pieces LOL. it even had a rusted engine. Hubby likes a challenge. And no, SusyQ, he doesn't help with FH at all!!! (although he was very appreciative for his tree!) he dislikes computers!!! ~~~~~~~~~ to Lara and Trifley. Lew Lew, glad you liked it. I had the same thought about Trifley. Will send it on to others tomorrow - I come back to full speed then - as it took about half and hour to send to you! Afternoon Wattlers. Still raining in Mudgee and aren't we all very happy. It's about time! Suzy, I'm sooo pleased Neville loved that picture. It just cracked me up when Alison sent it. Trifley, how you going today? A visit from another Wattler I see. We aren't going to leave you alone! lol. Terry has just been into town and spoken to a former car salesman. Hi Wattlers, First Trifley, Sorry I haven't managed to get down to see you, Neville's been a bit under the weather, think it may be his gall bladder playing up. Anyway, when you feel more up to it we would love to have you out here for lunch. The country air will blow away all the cobwebs. I will leave it up to you. It's great to have you back among us. Lew, I printed out the sign and it is now framed and hanging proudly in his music room. Hope you get fixed up with a nice new car. You should get a Toyoto Pruis, but I think there may be a long waiting list. An american company is making a film out here called the Condemned. A few of the roads are blocked but it hasn't inconvenienced us yet. Just trying to find out who is in it. Laurie I hope all is well with you and your friends. Fanny, I am having trouble with the weights, I think I must have tennis elbow or something, but I can't lift with my left arm. Everything else is okay. Hi everyone Well signed more forms today..I think I have just signed my life away..LO I forgot what is entailed with buying and selling..bugger of a job.. Anyway Grumblebum has agreed for us to move in early under licence so we have the unit from monday 7/8...We signed the forms and it is all legal...fan,bloody,tastic...Booked the removalist for wed 9th so its all go go go.. Lara Lovely to see ya mate, Hope they put in the cables for you on Wed. without fail.. How are the withdrawel symptoms going,, are you managing OK...never mind a good fix on Wed, when Tiger wont be able to get you off the puta...Did you notice that the Swans won also...lol Lew Have a look at the Honda Civic.. lovely car and not in the expensive bracket..for such a nice car.. I love ours and havent found anything about it I dont like yet... Flakey Everyone we have spoken to say how nice the village we are moving to is.. They say if Real Estate Agents move in there it got to be good, as they would know all the villages around the place so that is a good recamendation..I admire you mum but there is no way I want to look after a 5 bedroom house and a big garden any more..I never did like housework..
