Hellooo Wattlers, Just dropping by briefly, am doing taxes, its cold and wet here in Albury, feeling wintry. Fabtastic news Trifley, I've been thinking of you a lot, so wonderful that you can go home now with Nefer to take care of your every need while you rest up ready to face the treatment required, behave like the Queen you are now darling, and despatch the knaves to do your command!! Oh, Laurie, how awful about Den, she is also in my thoughts and I'm sending prayers of strength for all the folks who have to make decisions around her. A very difficult time. Anna I wish Toowoomba well next weekend with your water Poll, I also admired your lady Mayor on 60 minutes! Like you, I am not afraid of treated water. People have an odd idea of the purity of rainwater and groundwater. Vonny - nice boat, what a handywoman you are ! Won't it be fun to launch her - do you have a name picked out lol ? I am having a busy week Eisteddfodding - DD14 doing her drama piece on Thursday night but she has volunteered as well and spent all day being Stage Manager on Sunday, and Announcer at the Speech and Drama last night. She will want to go back tonight I'm sure. I love it too, it's wonderful to see the kids grow up each year and our Drama community is very friendly, they rehearse each other, and cheer each other on, learning to be a great audience as well as performing. ~~~~~ to everyone , my potato topped pie is finished so I'd better get back to the books (I'm up to doing vehicle expenses) Hz in Albury |

Afternoon everyone, At 'work' at the moment and no-one around so just spent some time catching up reading. Laurie, what a hard decision to make. I know that several of my kids have made the same choice but now they are married it will be their spouses who are asked that question. ((((Hugs for you)))) Looking forward to Lara being back and Trifley on deck. Still thinking about the story - maybe wait till we are all back together again. I think Lew Lew, Rebs, Laurie and Tony are the best story tellers! Going to play with words and then back to work :) ~~~Vonny |

Dearest Laurie, I just hope that if there is no solution to save your friend, that she doesn't linger on long. I know that may sound awful, but it's the best for everyone concerned. Well, on your recommendation, Laurie, I have just tested out the Accent. Compared to the Astra, Lancer and Pulsar, I found it very roomy. Unfortunately, they only had the 2 door at the moment, but have ordered me in a Silver 4 door. I can then test drive it and, if I like it, I can have that one. The car dealer is a former client, but he and his wife have become friends. In fact, they are having dinner at our place Thursday week, so I'm sure I'm going to get a very good deal, lol. Off to have some lunch. Lew Lew xxx |

Morning all . . Slow start to the day for me . . . wonder why ??? Oh I remember . . . I invented the 'Trifarooni' last night - just the right blend of Rosso and Dry Vermouth ! Lew, the Accent is small, and the one I have is the hatchback, wouldn't even try and put anyone on the back seat (in fact it is folded down all of the time). But it is great for what it was intended for - just me!! Most of the klms I have done were going back and forth to Wyalong & Forbes before Dad died, and they were very comfortable trips. When I do use it (I have public transport at the front door - so why pay for parking) it is ideal for zipping through the city traffic. Just got off the phone to Lara - she like the rest of us is elated at the good path results for Trifley. her words were something like 'Oh thank goodness every minute of every day I have been thinking about her'. She said love you's all and be with you tomorrow! Your trip is sounding better every day Wilson - enjoy !! The lovely Ray has me working (he'll be sorry when he gets the bill) - I have to try and reinvent a format for his barcodes and label program. Silly thing came with a User Manual that is about as much use as a diet in a chocolate factory. I will win though (even if I do have to ring the sons a zillion times) !!! I'm back off out to Westmead shortly - 2nd day with no meds for Den, and no reactions - There is another conference at 2pm. Dad asked the Dr to try and let it all just happen not ask him to turn off the machines, because he didn't think he could live with that, but I think he may have got past that now. Den would hate to be how she is - she has had the conversation with several people on her wishes not to be on life support - even as recently as four weeks ago when she had a little womens op. The sun is streaming in my window - its lovely . . . there are three giraffes with heads in the air, and a few little boats out there fishing (the boats aren't fishing - the peeps in the boats are!) . . . much nicer than the grey days we have had. Even my washing was dry in no time at all . . . no dryer today! Have a lovely Waffling day, and I will catch up with you mad lot later cheers luv Laurie |

Morning All and a Great Morning it is! I'm still very elated about our Trifley's news. I'll phone her again this arvo. She sounded fantastic! Mary, thanks for the pickles. The new place looks wonderful. I know Belrose, as my sister lives in North Turramurra and a friend lives in Pymble. I'm more a lower North Shore gal, Neutral Bay & Kirribilli. Where on the northern beaches are you? My bestest girl friend lives in Avalon. Laurie, what a pity that it has taken something this tragic to bring Bill and his daughter back together. Makes you stop and think, doesn't it. Thanks for the Accent info. You don't find it too small? Joody, Joody, Joody. You must be more careful. You've had your trip to hospital this year and you don't want to go there again, do you??! ~~~Waves to All~~~ Off to get some brekkie Lew Lew xxx |

Morning Wattlers Fantastic!!!! Great News Trifley, (((((Hugs))))) Pam, I canceled the hire company we were using, in fact we have changed our whole holiday. We were flying to Perth and then using trains and busses to get where we want to go ( Bunbury, Bridgetown, Kalgoolie), but the timetable didn't work out very well and we were going to be wasting a fair amount of time waiting. Then went to book a cabin in a caravan park in Kalgoolie where some friends of ours( traveling around Oz) are at the moment and found out the charge is $100 a night!!! I want a motel at least for that amount of money. Soooo have hired a campervan and now we can go where we want when we want. Jood, you must have been having a craft moment, i know about them lol i had one yesterday he he. Glad you are alright, you could have given yourself a nasty burn or worse. Yvette, WHAT are you doing fiddling around with cadavers????? OK back to sneak a few more things in OH's case, he looked last night to make sure i wasn't taking too much. MEN!!!!, he thinks i don't need my hair dryer lol......know just where i can stash that. lol. Catch up later, Take Care Wilson |

Good evening Wattlers Just got in and read my mail - what I needed a good happy cry - How good is that . . . I'm shellebrateing in style, whipped myself up a 'Trifartooni', and its darn good! Thanks for all your messages of concern and hugs, I'm really OK. Denny's legacy is that after 11 years of no speakies her Dad Bill, and her older sister Lynn are now comforting one another. Thanks Julie Cat for the lovely card - your a sweetie! Wilson, hope you have a great time in the West, so many beautiful places in this here 'Aussie land' - we are truely blessed! Lara rang me tonight and sends her love to all, poor thing when she went to the netcafe today she read 12 pages of Wattlers Waffle, and cleared most of her 300 odd emails so that the puter doesn't have a relapse when she gets online on Wednesday. She sounds good though, and I will give her a call in the morning to let her know the good wine on the Trifle. Lew, when we came down here 5 years ago, I left my car up home so I would have something to drive when I go home - being out in the bush up there. Anyway, my Dad got sick 3 years ago, so Ray brought me a little Hyundai Accent so that I could go out and see him whenever I wanted to. It is a lovely little car to drive, with all the bells and whistles, but I dont drive it very often - it is a garage ornament! I have only done 9,000klms in 3 years. (I use the Pajero if Ray is away) I keep telling Ray we should sell it and hire a car when I need one, it would cost less than the rego, insurance and maintenance. I certainly would put a good word in there for the Hyundais though, it would be my choice of car in the future - the finish, the comfort factor, the performance (both my sons who are car buffs were suprised with its handling and love driving it when they come down) the cost (initial and ongoing - services not as dear as a lot of cars and you get a 5 year waranty I think it is) !! Yahoo . . . 'Mary has a removalist booked, Mary has a removalist booked !!!!!! Great news - so pleased for you and John that it is all coming together for you - no excuse for not being at the Casino now girl . . . Suzy Q . . . did you find out who is being condemned ???? Jilly . . . you are so funny . . you give me the giggles sometimes (or is that the trifartooni) I think Lew should get herself a Tardis cut the time it takes between Mudgee and the city down to nothing !! tee hee Joodles, looks like its toast under the grill for you tomorrow . . . maybe you can get a discount for buying both the printer and the toaster at the same store!! Anna thats a shame that Katherines band was missing a few members, but at this time of year it can't be helped - so many bugs on the rampage! They can be proud that they did their best and hopefully enjoyed themselves doing so. OOoops . . . I didn't think too much before I sent a cousin I recently made contact with, a copy of a gen report on our family . . just found a question from him re his fathers parentage (he was born before the grandparents married - had a different Daddy) Now I got to go explain it all . . . bugger, that'll teach me to think before I send and test the water before I dive in. Thank goodness I've got the documentation to back me up. Most suprised he didn't know. My Trifartooni is all gone and so has the day . . . tomorrow is upon me, so I will nip off to bed before my puter turns into a pumpkin! Sleep tight all . . . pleasant dreams Oh Great Trifley One . . . prayers and healing thoughts coming your way ! luv Laurie |

Just poppin in before I head back to the kitchen and finish off the dishes. Let my son have the net and what happens - he ends up having an early night - these young people can't hack burning the candle at both ends. I've done most of my chores including a load of washing, bit of ironing and probably won't see my bed before midnight but will still be up at 5.30 and out the door at 7 for work. Great news from Trifley - so pleased for you and your family. Jood - glad you didn't do yourself a damage.... See ya later - back to the kitchen, then beddy byes Nitey nite Gwenda |
