Good Morning, See I managed to get on before lunch today. Laurie, your friends are very lucky to have you. In times of stress I think you would be the one they can depend on. I don't think Denny sounds like a person who would like to be kept alive in a vegetative ( sp ) state. Lew will email you re Evangeline. Welcome Home Trifley, I am sure you will get better much quicker at home, hospitals are not the best places to recover. Look forward to your daily messages again. Lara, I also look forward to your messages as I cannot skip though them quickly, they need to be read slowly to understand them LOL Jood, Wilson, I saw a program where all the properties in the WA mining areas were very expensive because of the mining boom. That is probably the reason why accomodation is so expensive. Apparently there are not enough house for everyone. And the wages are really good. Mary, you naughty girl, you shouldn't be moving boxes. You should wait and get one of your sons to do that for you. Keep up your strength for the Casino meet LOL Seriously though, I think it was my grandma that said to wear the young ones out first. I thought that I must be the odd one because I do not like Guy Sebastion, that is the fault with the program. People should be voting for the contestant and not the singer. This week Erica has to sing opera and that is also unfair when the others don't have to. I think I will complain. oing now, back after lunch Luv SuzyQ

Morning again Awwh Mary you are soo kinds and you havent met me yet lol. Gwenda yes that is why I dyed my hair it was not only a bit of the roots that was grey it was about 2 inches of grey that was showing. I couldnt go to Nans party with all the other grandkids looking young and me being a grey haired ol person. Its bad when you are the eldest grandchild and the youngest is about 20 years younger, also when you inherit early grey hair from your parents, like in your 20's it doesnt help :-(( Shazz, I forgot to mention yesterday, I already have my Red and White hat for the Casino and I'll wear my hat if you also have one and wear yours lol. Well it is nearly lunch time, better go and make a roast beef sandwich, be back later. Cheers Sue

Good Morning Wattlers Well we have finally got rain as well today they have forecast rain from about Saturday. It is not real heavy just showers at the moment. Laurie, yes some doctors really make you wonder. I know my parents will get out to see me probably still every week as Dad is often in the hospital having an MRI or some other check done. Its just that over the last 4 and half years (5 in Dec) I have seen more of Mum and Dad than any other time since I moved out of home and I have got used to their regular visits. Gwenda yes I suppose that is a good reason to move, I often say that about the ex as he is often moving and not real good with housework so we say, when he has a move must be time for him to do housework lol. Yes it is what I was talking about when I mentioned about some good news earlier, but I was more hoping it had of been another house that the landlord put an offer in which is only in the next suburb, but he didnt get the ok for that one, anyway I suppose beggars cant be choosers, and if it is a bit more modern and warmer, then that is a good thing. At the moment I am sitting here with hair dye in my hair waiting for time to go so I can wash it out, so now I've had hair cut, hair colour, what else can I do in readines for the events over the next couple of weeks ........................................ Nah cant think of anything else to do, I think I am past help in everything else, so everyone will have to put up with me the way I am lol. Trifley a big welcome home today. Hope you are feeling ok with your cold and its not getting you down too much. Hello to everyone else I havent mentioned. Will be back shortly when I wash dye out. 17 Sleeps, Cheers Sue

Good morning Wattlers, Can't see anything outside - I'm all fogged in, and it is raining, so dont know how many giraffes are doing what this morning. If all is going according to plan then our Queen will be chaffing at the bit at the moment - bags packed - waiting for the doors to open so she can get out of that darn hospital and home with Graeme and Mark where she belongs. Welcome home Di, bet it feels great !!!! I can't do any H********K . . . because the water is off while the plumber repairs the shower - so have to sit at the puter !! At last an excuse !!! Just been checking my mail . . Wow DIY Jude, can't rely on good service anywhere these days can you . . . 3 times to get your car clean - thats terrible! I think you should talk to Lady Lew, you may have photographic proof there to support a class action against the car wash company. The way the guy is leaning on your soft top cant be good for the car. I reacon you should sue the pants off them . . . . tee heee Be back later - need a coffee cheers luv Laurie

Good Morning Lovely Wattlers and a special Good Morning to Our Queen Trifley. Welcome home. Now relax and let Nefer and the brothers tend to your every need. Quote for today especially for you Trifles: 'I'll have a cafe-mocha-vodka-valium-latte to go, please.' heeeeee And Welcome Back to Lara! I was going to say that the thread has been quiet without you, but I think you can see that we have prattled on quite nicely, lol. Rebs, where are you hiding girl? Get your butt back here! Laurie, what a terrible situation! I just don't think your friend would want to live like that. And what are her parents thinking? What a burden, not only on them, but the rest of the family, and for how long? Perhaps their doctor can talk a bit of sense to them. Yes, living in a small country town does have it's advantages. People really do rally around when something like this happens. SuzyQ. What have you given me with your Evangeline Dean? A headache, that's what! Have her on the 1861 Census and then they lot of them disappear. I wonder if they migrated somewhere? The fog is heavy over Mudgee town this morning. It'll take a couple of hours to lift. At least we've had some rain. Total over the last 3 days was about an inch on the old scale. Hope everyone has a warm and wonderful day. I'll chat again soon. Lew Lew xxx

Good evening Wafflers !! Another afternoon at Westmead, and I want to strangle the Doctors . . . I dont know what they are up to - but they have asked for Den to be used in the trial of new drug, of course, Bill & Nancy said yes, they thought Den would have wanted that, so thats what is happening. Those poor people are now thinking and planning what they will do if Den survives, and the hospital have organised a lawyer to talk to them about what to expect of insurance to care for her. We are talking about a woman that has had 90% of the left side of her brain removed, and who is currently listed as critical. Nancy & Bill are in their 70's and both with health issues of their own. No Lew, your comments don't sound awful, I totally agree with them, if my memory serves me correctly, the left side of the brain controls everything that gives quality of life - emotion, sight, smell, mobility, speach etc. etc. etc. I went for a walk with Bill this afternoon around the hospital grounds and had a talk to him about making decisions. I told him that he was lucky that Den had made her wishes known to so many people, but that he should also think about what choice he would want others to make for him if he was in the same position. We had a big talk about that and as I was leaving he thanked me for making him feel stronger. The beauty of living in a small country town . . . the community at Lake Cargelligo have rallied around and are taking care of Bill & Nancy's farm, feeding the cattle, doing the school bus run for him, and looking after their animals. Their mobile phone doesn't stop ringing. Even the local doctor is coming to Sydney on Saturday just to check up on them to make sure they are both OK. I wont go back out tomorrow - I will leave it till Thursday! See that Crewella dropped in long enough to tell a tall tale today . . . cheeky blighter!! Good shopper cuz Jood . . . I tried using a wireless keyboard but it didn't feel right - so I let Ray take it back to the office, but use the mouse all the time. Only trouble is the little meece tends to get lost seeing as how it doesn't have a leash on it! Was that you secret Devily ?? That your moving into a new house ??? Lucky you !!! You will find a way to still get to see the folks, everything will work out!! Ah Jilly, Hervey Bay is loovly . . just that little bit warmer too in winter. Yvette, you clever little thing, Whats next when you have finished the degree ?? Pam, some of the matches that come up on GR are from trees where the owner isn't a paying member of GR, so they can't return a message to you. They can read your message, but unless they pay the membership they cant answer. If you are really sure it is a connection, it may be worth adding your email addy to the message you send them - that way they can get in touch with you if they want to. So sorry the dreaded bug has gone and got hold of you Trifley, but you will be right when you get home - last thing you needed right now was a cough! Oh I can feel your pain! Welcome home for tomorrow - a great day for us all !! I have heard from Donna today - she sounds like she is doing OK. Well I am exhausted tonight, so will go try and clear my mail and head off to bed . . catch you all tomorrow . . . cheers luv Laurie

Hi Shazz, yea I'm still here scooting around the island. Will be slowed down for the next 6 weeks or so while the census is on. Walking power only. Rebs, with a body like mine, you certainly don't flaunt it. Wilson, that sounds wonderful, doing what you want to, when you want to. How did you sneak the hair dryer in? Clever girl. If you come across a public library, you may be able to use their internet for about 15 mins. One here on Bribie has that facility. May have to join up the library - just tell 'em you're living there temporarily. Anyway have a great holiday. Boy am I glad my lovely dtr is passed eisteddfods. She was really involved in dance - ballet (classical and character), jazz (slow and modern) and tap (slow and fast). Then was involved in group performances as well. Spent several months each year, travelling all around Brisbane, Sunshine coast, Gold coast, Beenleigh and Ipswich performing in eisteddfods. When she was about 11, she did a stint with the Qld ballet company who were performing Carmen. She was one of the street urchins and did a couple of performances each week. And us parents got a ticket to go and see the show. Really good. Oh, those were the days LOL Thanks Vonny, will have to wait until the beginning of the month. Used up all my downtime half way through the month. Had the speed slowed down once and got an email today saying it was slowed down even more. Always next month. Jood, glad to see you bent the plastic a little today. Good on you. Now just be careful where you plug the toaster into. Power point, not puta. hehehe Flakey, why is it that these peeps join GR and then don't bother to answer. Really gets me going. Can't understand them !!!!!!!!!! ok - off my soap box . Gwenda, did you enjoy your day off? Yahoo !!!!!!!!! Mary, you take care. NOOOO lifting. Can't afford to do your back in. Yvette what course are you doing at uni. My daughter started uni in 1995 and finished her PhD in 2004 now living and working in USA. A hard slog for anyone. Trifley - welcome home Laurie - what does one say in this tragic situation. Prayers and Hugs pam

Dear Wattlers, well i'm not as shattered tonight as last night. Have to get used to combining work with other activites, getting up at a reasonable hour and most importantly getting to bed. Seems like a whole lifestyle adjustment. I'm in my 4th year of Science at uow. had last year off and hopefully will knock it off at the end of next year. I started in 2002 thinking it might tickle my brain, just didn't realise how hard I would have to scratch. Anyway... I like it. I had a look on this today while I was out, but couldn't really add anything, not that I've got too much constructive to say - only waffle. Promise you Suzi I'll write to you tomorrow night as I don't work Wed evenings. Thanks for the videos and funny's.that cat one cracked us up. we like cats here. have sent out a few messages to potential relos, but not much in the way of action from it. Told a friend that i met through work about GR and shes had a great time browsing through. Hope she joins as I'm sure she'll get a lot out of it. Love to everybody, from Yvette xx

Evening Wattlers Well it sounds as if we are all busy doing things, especially in the afternoon and leaving SuziQ all on her own :-( sorry about that. We will have to work our time out so no one is on their own lol. Anyway I have had a day that started with a usual weekly visit from Mum and Dad, with the last minute details of the weekends celebrations for Nan. Then I went down the street and had my haircut, then came home and started sorting out a few draws and sorting out things that I dont use or need any more. Now they are thinking why am I doing this?? Well as I mentioned a while ago, our landlord is looking for another place to buy that is a bit more modern with less upkeep, he let us know that he has found a place and they have accepted his offer so now we have to have a look at it to see if we think it will be ok for us. The only bad thing is it is one the other side of the city, about 20 minutes drive, so I probably will miss my parents weekly visit as it is a bit too far to walk. But then if the house is warmer than this icechest I can nearly put up with the down side of being on the other side of town. Jude2 I actually got a message through hot matches, they contacted me so I did the right thing and sent them a reply as there is a definate connection. But I do know how you feel when you send a message to someone and they dont take the time to even send a quick reply. Trifley not long now and you will be home in your own surroundings, I know you will be glad to finally walk in your front door. Laurie sending wishes to you and your friends at this hard time. Well time to make a coffee. Waves to everyone. 18 Sleeps. Cheers Sue
