Ooo goody, looks like the party has started. I'll just be having a shiraz with some cheese. Do we have any blue cheese? There's one from Gippsland which is very good. Yes, Mary that's a good distance to walk to the letterbox and I understand the dog coming with me, but the cat? Siamese, they're all crazy. Good songs Anna, you clever thing. Well here's my contribution: You are the sunshine of my life Thats why Ill always be around, You are the apple of my eye, Forever youll stay in my heart I feel like this is the beginning, Though Ive loved you for a million years, And if I thought our love was ending, Id find myself drowning in my own tears. You are the sunshine of my life, Thats why Ill always stay around, You are the apple of my eye, Forever youll stay in my heart, You must have known that I was lonely, Because you came to my rescue, And I know that this must be heaven, How could so much love be inside of you? You are the sunshine of my life, yeah, Thats why Ill always stay around, You are the apple of my eye, Forever youll stay in my heart. Lew Lew xxx |

Hi everyone Well papers signed and we went to look at lounges. We want a new sofa as the 2 we have are going to Sallies as we feel like a change..Have settled on one and will order it when we can find out what colour we want. We are also going to get a new dining suite as we feel like a chang and a table a little smaller than the one we have,, Also one that can open out to fit 6 in comfort.. Vonny. Dont worry girl it happens to all of us at one time or another.. I was babysitting the twin G/daughters and when they got up from their nap I didnt see that the front door was open and the little buggers just walzed out and up the steps of the house hext door. they were about 21/2 so when I coulnt find them I was frantic until I heard them behind some bushes in the next doors garden ..I burst into tears when I went to get them and also when I told my daughter what had happened.. She was very understanding but I felt that awful,, I made sure they were securely locked in from then on...Have a lovely time at the Graduation and go easy on the desert... Queen Trifley Glad to see ya back,, I to would like to know what Yvette is doing with cadavers...havent seen a explanation yet..??? Just noticed its happy,hour , hope you have started.. I am about to have a Brandy and Dry.. anyone for a drink??? bickies and cheese comming up... Lew What a lovely walk to the letterbox... Tony You have convinced me we should get Barb to buy the lotto tickets...We could send you $20 a week and Barb buy a tick with it..What have you got in the pantry without labels on at the momnt.. Ice cream, chocky jelly and a lot of weetbix I see,,,I am a bit like you,, cant win a bloomin thing... I would love to have been a fly on the wall when Lara found she couldnt get on the net..I think I heard her from here...and it wasent very ladylike... Laurie Loved sisters poem,, she is very clever,, How is Denny and family.. Well must away.. Keep thinking that I have done most of the packing and then find something else..just seems never ending... Ooo Vonny, sorry to hear that. But it wasn't your fault. Kids have accidents. Remember the days when it was okay to skin your knees and elbows and fall out of trees and off swings and it all seemed perfectly normal, and it is! Don't feel bad. Lew xxx |

~~~~~~~~~~~to Trifley, welcome back :) Afternoon all, A party tonight!!!! And I'M GOING OUT!!!! oh the injustice of it all. It's my eldest son and daughter-in-law's graduation at Parliament House tonight!! Got to see the results of putting up with them for three and a half years!! LOL Will drop in when I get back but we are going for dessert afterwards so might be late :( Here's part of a song I remember learing in primary school, Golden wattle, fairy stuff Little balls of yellow fluff See the bees how loud they hum To say they're glad that Spring has come.......... I failed Nanny Class today :( I let Grand-D fall off the swing!!! backwards, she just let go with both hands. Straight on the back of her head - I felt awful. At least it had been raining so the ground was soft. Watched her like a hawk and didn't put her down in her cot for her nap but kept her on the lounge and just watched her sleep. She is perfectly alright and was a bouncy as a cricket. I think I'm more of a wreck! Got to go, back much later Vonny |
Afternoon Wattlers. I've been up to the letterbox to put the numbers on, so now maybe some mail will find us, lol. Not only did the dog come for the walk to the front gate, but so did the cat! Not bad considering it's about a kilometre. Funny cat! He's now just lying on my lap, while I'm trying to type. Trifley, I hope the house was spick and span when you got home! Otherwise, you may have to smack Nefer (ooooo goody, can I watch, lol) I second the motion, SuzyQ. Cherry's poem as our Anthem! Hope you sort your Evangelina out. Off to do more research. Lew xxx |
Good Afternoon girls, Thanks for the chat this afternoon girls, I really enjoyed it. Much better than talking to myself. Loved the poem Laurie, we should adopt it as our anthem, to be read at the begining of all meetings. All the ayes raise your hand? Lew, just ordered the birth certificate so the mystery should be solved. How is the house Devily. Hope it is really nice and warm and modern and a nice neighbourhood. Infact perfect. I will look in tonight to see if the party is in full swing. I will be wearing canary yellow with a silver and lilac tarara. Laurie, you can get really nice tararas that are not pretentious from Tiffany's, otherwise know as Crazy Clark's. I will bring along the cheese nibbles and a nice bottle of red. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ |
Arv'o Wattlers. Luvly day in Molbin. Sun shining brightly now, after a foggy morning. Fog was so bad yesterday around Melb. couldn't see 20 feet in front of you. Dug around last night for me oils, as i feel in a painting mood. Have been sorting through all the pickles we took while in Scotland of the beeeeeeautiful Highlands, so have decided to let the Rembrandt in me come out again....lol Trifley. Hope your feeling a bit better as each day goes by mate. Vonny. I'le be in anything mate. You start it off and I'm sure others will join in. There were some very funny threads going on the general board when i first joined, and people like DB (Dave )...CB....Louise....Rupert Bear ( Ray )...Maz..( Cornish pasty ).. ..Sir Baz ( Baz Hugo )...Postie Paul....and heaps more people, who seem not be around anymore on the site. Only 21 sleeps to go, and wer'e orf to He'y-Man Island for a week.So looking forward to travelling up north. Hope everyone is having a great day, best wishes to all who are not feeling the best. Lunch time. Sung to: 'These are a few of my favourite things' Bacon n'chicken n' eggs on a sanga topped off with mushies and fry up a banger. Cut up sping-onions,from'a newly picked bunch and toast in the griller to have fer me lunch. Av a good un. Tony Oz...:>)) update. Lovely poem Laurie. Some people are quite talented. |
Back again . . . sharing a poem written by my sister Cherry .......................... WATTLE The pungent scent of wattle blossom permeates the air and miles and miles of yellow fluff with wattle everywhere. So many different species in every shade of gold, depending on the type of land or if the winter's cold. Out 'back of Bourke' they're spindly but a couple of types are found. Some with prickles, some ferny leaves. The blooms some long, some round. Some know it as mimosa but know it not as we for whom this bloom can represent a love of brown country. When I was just a little girl, some fifty years ago, I learned sweet songs of wattle time and can't let the memories go. Today I heard a choir sing the same sweet words I knew. I sang along, the tears flowed free. Do I love this land? I do. ................. cheers luv Laurie |
