Hi Warbling Wattlers Still in good voice I hear. Who remembers this one - an oldie but a goodie! Tie a Yellow Ribbon Tony Orlando & Dawn I'm comin' home, I've done my time Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine If you received my letter telling you I'd soon be free Then you'll know just what to do If you still want me If you still want me Whoa, tie a yellow ribbon 'round the old oak tree It's been three long years Do ya still want me? If I don't see a ribbon round the old oak tree I'll stay on the bus Forget about us Put the blame on me If I don't see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree Bus driver, please look for me 'cause I couldn't bear to see what I might see I'm really still in prison And my love, she holds the key A simple yellow ribbon's what I need to set me free I wrote and told her please Whoa, tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree It's been three long years Do ya still want me? If I don't see a ribbon round the old oak tree I'll stay on the bus Forget about us Put the blame on me If I don't see a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree Now the whole damned bus is cheerin' And I can't believe I see A hundred yellow ribbons round the old oak tree. Fluffy yellow duck - we remember all the words! As if we'd google!! The house is sounding good Devly. You'll just have to play the waiting game for a while. Sounds good. I guess Trifley is watching House - bitter twisted specimen of humanity that he is. You'd think she'd have had enough of hopitals by now! How good is her news about pathology results. OK - altogether now ... 'Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree...' Bottoms up:>) Anna Ooooooh! Lara! You tell 'em luv ....!!!!!! |

Yellow, Yellow. Yellow. How are you all? Im back from my outing. For the ones that was talking this afternoon you will know where I've been. We went to have a look at the house our Landlord has just put the offer in for, and we have first say in if we want it or not. We went and had a look, and was quiet impressed with the house, it is in a quiet area, and yes Laurie there is a bit of floor space to put visitors lol. There is built ins in the 3 bedrooms, a 2 way access to the toilet from the bathroom or through the laundry, the laundry also has a door to outside, so if someone is in the bathroom you can get to the toilet from outside. He is still looking incase he gets a house a bit closer to where we are now. If that is the case we can have the option of either, but we said if nothing else comes up we will be happy to move there. There is a 60 day settlement period and when the people who own it at the moment, move out our landlord is going to paint it before we can move in. Trifley a big hello to you, hope you are resting up, and being looked after. Lara, I would be a bit like you and not think of things like that. Actually I didnt know you could use your mobile phone to connect a puta to the internet. So you learn something every day. Is it very expensive to do that? Anyway I am going to have a look at all the songs you have been singing. Cheers Sue |

Lew, we used to have a strange cat also. Nearly 30 years ago we used to take Ben (our son) for a walk around the block. OH would push the pram, the dog, a large German Shepherd, would walk between us and the cat would bring up the rear. We would get about three quarters of the way down the road, and the cat would take a short cut through to the next street and wait for us to come around. You see, there were a couple of dogs a little further down and she didn't want to meet them. She was a tortoiseshell called Sinda. Pam |

This one? Christie Lyrics - Yellow River Lyrics So long boy you can take my place, got my papers I've got my pay So pack my bags and I'll be on my way to yellow river Put my guns down the war is won Fill my glass high the time has come I'm going back to the place that I love yellow river Yellow river yellow river is in my mind and in my eyes Yellow river yellow river is in my blood it's the place I love Got no time for explanation got no time to lose Tomorrow night you'll find me Sleeping underneath the moon at yellow river Cannon fire lingers in my mind I'm so glad that I'm still alive And I've been gone for such a long time from yellow river I remember the nights were cool I can still see the water pool And I remember the girl that I knew from yellow river Yellow river yellow river is in my mind and in my eyes Yellow river yellow river is in my blood it's the place I love Got no time for explanation got no time to lose Tomorrow night you'll find me Sleeping underneath the moon at yellow river Yellow river yellow river is in my mind and in my eyes Yellow river yellow river is in my blood it's the place I love |

Laurie, loved Cherry's poem. It wasn't until today when I passed it, that I remembered we have a Wattle Avenue here on Bribie. Does that count? Anna, the 7.30 report just had something on Toowoomba's water dilema. Looks like Bris may also get treated sewage water added to the dam. Will be back later when I catch up on all the waffling. Pam |

I'm hopeless with words to songs, I can only really remember the drovers dream , but I found this lovely poem The Wattle Tree Winter is not yet gone - but now The birds are carolling from the bough. And the mist has rolled away Leaving more beautiful the day. The sun is out - O come with me To look upon the wattle tree! Let misers hoard and hide their gold; Here there is treasure-trove untold, In yellow blossom, mass on mass Spread out for wayfarers who pass With hearts to feel, and eyes to see How lovely is the wattle tree. O strange, O magical! to forget For a moment care and fret, Whilst the next spirit, like a cup Drained of delight, again fills up And overflows with ecstasy Before the miracle of the tree. And rich and poor, who pause to bless The shining tree in thankfulness, Are bound in fellowship indeed. What matter politics or creed, Or class or colour? surely he Loves mankind who loves a Tree! Towards illimitable skies From the earth the trees arise: Givers of Joy, their gold and green Against the blue of Heaven is seen. A symbol of man's destiny Is the blossoming the wattle tree. Winter is not yet gone - but now The birds are carolling from the bough. And the mist has rolled away Leaving more beautiful the day. The sun is out - O come with me To look upon the wattle tree! Dora Wilcox now, how lovely and also completely relevant yvette xx |

Yeah I like it too Gwenda. Now a got a question for you pc gurus among us. I got a new wireless mousey - and it jumps all over the place even when I am pointing at a certain thing. .. How can I stop this?????? Soooo frustrating. Does it operate better on wood, a mat or white paper, all of which I've tried and no different. Jood |
