Hi everyone,, quite nice this afternoon and not very cold.. no rain.. I like the new thread name ,, good one Lara.. Ancestry are doing a bit of work on their site so havent been able to get on. Hope they improve it a lot.. They have done little things and it is a big help..Wish they would get the rest of the Scottish census on line.. that would be fantastic..When I am settled I will have to fork out and do some searching on Scotlandspeople as that is the only way to go forward with my fathers line.. All this snoring and caravans brings back memories when we used to go to Dunolly and it was like a chorus at night. No wander I loved the trains that used to come through about 2 in the morning..LOLThe park down there dosent encourage children as it has a lake and is dagerous for young kiddies.who might fall in..Insurance and all that..so the people who run it dont put in anything that caters for children , that way they go elswhere..and he dosent have to worry..Hope to get back there in Nov. for a couple of weeks holiday.and to catch up with old friends.. Must go and get dinner back later.. Love Maryxxx |

Afternoon All, Sorry I couldn't make the party last night, was too late after we had finished dinner and cleaned up etc. My cat Sophie is under the weather today. I think she may have done something to her leg. I have checked her all over for ticks, she is eating, but she just walks a couple of steps then sits down. Doesn't like it when I touch her back leg. I will keep her quiet and if she hasn't improved a visit to the vet tomorrow. How are you feeling today Trifley? Much better I hope. I see the dog is glad you are home. Be better when you get the tubes out. We had a nice start to the day. nevilles youngest daughter rang from the UK. She hasn't had a phone on at home for ages, so we had a long chat. Ofcourse we had to ring her back. She is getting the puta on next week so more chats to come. She is actually on sick leave, she has a trapped nerve in her neck brought on by her job, so she is on full pay. She has to take notes in meetings that go on for 8 hours without a break, no wonder she has trapped nerves. Do you have any news on your friend today Laurie? I had to laugh to myself this morning about a Sunrise subject. They were discussing that the modern technology had stopped people from talking to each other. Must say I haven't talked as much for ages. We wouldn't have met without it. Hope everything works out for you with the house Devily. Will the girls have further to go to school? or will they need to change schools. It has been a bit of a miserable day today but no rain. I has been much warmer though and I have got all the windows and doors open, which I love. Well I will go for now. Love to one and all SuzyQ |

Voony - I thought you were talking a foreign language - hehe Thanks for the cat video - they sure can be entertaining - little 3C seems to like water and nothing better than getting up on bathroom vanity when we clean our teeth, then plays with the water. To all those sleeping with chainsaws you have my sympathy - I've had 3 peaceful weeks - that will end on Monday when Dave gets back. Our Ginger is also a snorer - really funny coming from a cat. New shoes walked my feet to the V-E-T, nose ran along ahead - 2-1/2 worm tablets and an appointment for 3C's little op next week and I really haven't done much HW since - better get going Anna - all the best to Katherine - hope her cold doesn't upset her performance. Lara - lovely to see you on here for a good ol' chat - maybe all the snoring will get rid of the neighbours - maybe you could set up some speakers by their window - lol Trifley - hope you're having a real good rest - better when it's in your own bed isn't it? Really must move, catch up later Gwenda |

Good afternoon Wattlers Been walking - our group drove out to our catchment dam for today's walk. The water levels are sure low. Lovely to have you back Lara. Hope your neighbours improve! Nothing worse than waking up early when you don't have to. Poor Lew and Laurie - sorry the chainsaws were so active last night. Chris doesn't snore at all but he tells me that I do. I catch myself sometimes and I roll over on my side but I don't know how long I've been at it before I've woken myself up with the noise! Sounds like a good deal with your car Lew. Bet you can't wait. The small car will be so easy to handle after the bigger ones. Hello Trifley - up and about yet are we??? Hope the cold has improved. At least you should get a sleep in - not like the hospital where they wake you at an ungodly hour to ask you if you slept well! Eisteddfod again tonight. Poor darling daughter has a cold which is going to be a wretched nuisance. Waves to all - must be plenty of sore throats about today after all the singing last night! Cheers Anna |

Afternoon all Jood dont worry, you are right with the lotto it is your turn next week for 'Wattlelotto' and mine is the week after. When I mentioned about going down the shop and getting lotto and if the wattlers ticket didnt win, then hopefully ours will, I was talking about buying David and my own tickets for this weekend, and Anna has already bought the 'Wattlelotto' tickets for this weekends big one. But dont worry I sometimes dont explain myself right. Shazz, did you put you foot in it ????? lol Its ok I have had a red and white hat for years as I used to follow a team over here and they was those colours, still have the hat lol. Quite often people will ask me why I have a red and white had and I dont go for Sydney, as if they are the only ones with that colour. I thought there was only one code of football !!!!! he he. Lara it is good to see you back on the thread and yes our name does look better now. Trifley hope you had a good nights sleep and getting looked after as you should. Ok better go and do a bit more around here, will pop back in after. Cheers Sue |

No, Jood, don't panic. We have, or had until about an hour ago, 3 vehicles. The RAV, Nissan Patrol Ute and the Mitsubishi Challenger (big 4wd). We need the Ute when we had the farm, but as we only have 25 acres and we have a big tractor, the Ute had become superfluous. So, we'll end up the Challenger and the Accent. Perfect! Lew Lew x |

UUhmmmmmmmmmmmm. Sue (Tassy) - it's MY turn to buy the lotto ticket for next week !!!! Lew .. am quite concerned! .. Are you going to be a one car family ??? .. What happens for instance if you drive down to Adelaide for a week with your sis - how would Terry get around??? But I'm thinking you must have another car in the other half the garage that you didn't tell us about????? Well, a pleasant morning - I did keep away from the pc for uhmmm about 2-3 hours, though I didn't do any h*****k - in fact I invited the older lady next door for coffee, and we sat out in the sun in my little courtyard and soaked up the Vitamin D, C or whatever it is. .... Nowwwww to resume my work! Jood |

Good Morning Wattlers, 11am and still the fog has not cleared. Well, I managed to get back to sleep and slept in until 9.30! Thank goodness I'm retired, lol. Terry has taken the ute to the car dealer, as the dealer thinks he already has buyer for it! It's been a pretty good deal all round. Trading one Nissan Patrol ute (2000 model and pretty beaten up) and the 1997 RAV (which has seen a couple of altercations with roos over the years) for one brand spanking new Hyundai Accent Sedan. No money changing hands! Got to be very happy with that deal. I knew there was a reason we befriended the car dealer, lol. Well, the Accent won't be here for another month, but that doesn't matter. We now have one additional space in the garage and last night, or should I say early this morning, I had a brain wave! One car space is now going to be turned into my gym! Hooray. I already have weights, press bench, recumbant bike, stepper, tv to play exercise videos. It's going to be perfect! Well, I'm off to start the cleaning of the garage, but might have a cuppa first. How'd you sleep Trifles? Loved the photo! Chat soon Lew Lew xxx |

Good Morning Wattlers Gee it is taking me a bit to get going today. Didnt sleep real well, too many things going around int he head about the house. I think I can get used to the idea of living over that part of town, and the girls and David like the house, I also like the house is just on the wrong side of town. I know I can see all you mainlanders laughing as there is only about 20 minutes between both places, not like Sydney or Melbourne when you talk of the other side of town and nearly need a packed lunch to take with you lol. Anyway the beds are made, breakky dishes done, so I had better get of here and go to the newsagent and buy our tatts tickets for the week and if our Wattlers ticket dont win the big one I hope our ticket gets a share. then I have to get groceries and back home. So I will be back on here this afternoon, might go for my walk while Im down the street as it is cloudy but not raining at the moment. 16 Sleeps, ooh getting closer:-)))) Cheers Sue |

Thanks Jude for that, I'd say that's what happened, someone sort of half heard the name of the movie and a date - and put two and two together. .. Are you not very far away from Geelong Jude? I'm going down for a conference in September, but it will be pretty full-on. .. I'm looking forward to it. Yes, ok - right - I HAVE been doing housework, honest - I just cleaned my teeth and came in here to put some cream on my face.!!! Jude |

Morning everyone I haven't had time to read back but it looks like you had fun last night. Jood the Geisha movie was advertised on foxtel as coming out on dvd, thats probably why someone thought it was going on the tv. Movie wasn't bad but the book had heaps more detail. Same as the Di Vinci Code. Gotta run, off to Geelong for youngest nieces birthday. Have a good one Flakey |

Awww fluffy - I was only kidding!!! Laurie, that would be great - for a loan of the dvd if I can play it on the pc - maybe at the meet? I have a couple of photos I need enlightening on. .. You did tell me last time we met, but by the time the photos and I caught up with each other, the old brain had forgotten again. This time I will put a sticky thing on the front to write it in pencil. .. Did you ever find out who the green lady was? .. pmsl Well I did intend to stay well away from the pc, but I actually hand sewed a broken thread on my blazer, and 'had to come upstairs to get my dressing gown for mending' (hence 'I had to sit down on the computer chair to mend that') .. Hmmm that doesnt really sound convincing does it???? Jood |

Good morning Wafflers . . . . Another grey day on Botany Bay looming - once again I can't see the water - let alone over to the giraffes. Lara & Tony, I always go straight to my server home page and check out my incoming on 'webmail' before it downloads to my puter. I have the mail collection set way back at half an hour so I can get rid of anything I dont want on my puter before it is collected by Incredimail. Sometimes in 'Webmail' I also transfere stuff I'm not ready to collect yet (if I am only going to be online a short while) into the trash can and then transfer it back for collection at a later date. I am with Optus, but surely other servers have the same facility. Poor Lew . . . I suppose she will have a sleepin this morning - my McCullouch wasn't too bad last night. When it wakes with a pillow over its face it knows its in trouble. Wonder how Terry took the pregers news (love it Tony - but really interested to know how you know that trick ??? Is that one you know from experience ???) Well done Lara . . . and you didn't delete us !!! lol We have a new banner! Joodles, I couldn't see Memoirs of a Geisha on the free to air TV program, but I have the DVD if you would like a loan . . . Do you watch many movies, because I have a large collection on DVD if your interested. (you can watch them on your puter if you dont have a DVD player) Lucas sounds like he has done the right thing and completely smitten his grandma. It was the Commonsense Cookery Book in my childhood. I have my mums copy, and although the cover is worn and a few pages loose - I love it because of all the things she has written in it. The blank pages at the front have the toffee and sweet recipes she used, to make her contribution to the monthly Mothers Club Stall at our school. Morning Gwenda . . . Morning Pam Check back later cheers luv Laurie |
