Home again and no roos thank goodness only mad Friday arvo drivers in their utes all trying to overtake. What is it when they see learners plates that they have to get in front, don't worry about it I say to L, take deep breaths and wave them, mentally that is, bye bye. Thanks for the advice Vonny, g.son does have some probs because of his father, won't bore you with it all here, surffice to say dad fried his brains with drugs so is a bit of a d.head, gives out wrong msgs to son when he see's him, which we are trying to limit. Anna, sorry forgot to congratulate your daughter, for them to do that well and be feeling sick, watch out when they're 100%. I hope too that your 'g.son' will grow out of his probs SuzyQ, who is Lucy? is Lucy the most spoilt dog in the world and Sophie your equally spoilt cat, says Jill whose *hams are never spoilt, bought Bazil a new doona yesterday, queen size. *hams, silly word for animals. Hi Sandra, If you use My Bigpond as your home page you just go to webmail and look at your mail. It tells you the size of each email and if you don't want to read it you just put a tick in the box and delete. That doesn't count towards your usage. Then you can either read the rest in webmail or use outlook express to read them or whatever other program that you use. Hope you can understand that. I get a bit of spam and just delete it. They are not usually very big but it all counts. Hope that makes sense Luv SuzyQ

Afternoon Wattlers, Jood have tried Telstra all day ,their lines are down??? how convenient. Question for SuzyQ if I use webmail on home page, how does the emails go there, do they bypass outlook express and incrediamail without beingcounted as downloads.???? please advise. Jill. re Grandson know just how you feel, we had custody of a grandson from the age of 11 through till about 19 and it was hell, he was finally kicked out of high school. We did everything to support him and show him someone cared , evenually he got a flat and job and has turned out rather well, so we like to think we instilled some good values in him. Queen hope your feeling good today Lew have a wonderful dinner tonight To everyone else hope you have a great evening. well will catch you all next time Cheers Sandra in the Gong.

Just a quick good morning today folks as it's the Blackpool trip for a few of us .. Val from West Wirral stayed here last night as it is easier to go from mine travelling up there. Although she has cricked her back... At the moment she is flat on the bed with pillows under her knees and just took some pain killers... well... she is going even if I have to take a wheelchair and push her round meself...lol She says she will be ok though so not to worry...I told her not to copy me poledancing... only proffessionals know how...lol... Catch you all next Tuesday and look after yourselves... Special thoughts for Trifley and Laurie......xxx Best wishes... Anne xxx

Good Afternoon everyone, Trifley, glad you have the tube out, you will feel better now. Update on Lucy and Sophie. Lucy just has a germ that may have started in a scratch and it is moving. Got some thing for it so hopefully that will soon get better. It's nothing serious. Sophie, it appears has had a fall or something. Her left leg is swollen around the joint. There is no infection, nothing broken, no internal injuries, so she has had an anti inflammitory injection and some medication to follow up. She is feeling really sorry for herself. It is really sad to see her. I will now have to start saving up again. LOL Never mind they are worth it. The weather is starting to clear up a bit now, the occasional bit of blue keeps trying to peep through. Bugger I wanted it to last a bit longer, at least until the tank is full. Hope everyone is well Luv SuzyQ

Jill, Once he's done all the boring stuff (housework, any school work etc) why not get him started on family history as a reward? He could start his own family tree and then go backwards for ancestors. Might learn a bit of history and it also might help him to find his 'place of belonging' in the family. When a child that young is being naughty on purpose something is definitely out of kilter, so maybe some time with you, with definite boundaries and structure (plus one on one time) might do the trick. [had one of my own like that and so have had several other wattlers] Good Luck - when does it start? Vonny

Afternoon everyone Yes SuzyQ - it's raining here. Not much - just drizzle so I hope we get something worthwhile before it all disappears again. Hope your visit to the vet goes OK. Those little creatures keep us on our toes don't they! Good luck! Loved your joke about the sperm count!!!!! Lew - better order up big and drink some ridiculously expensive ccoktails. I love the names of some of them but am never brave enough to try! Have a great night and hope the partners are all missing you like crazy. Vonny - glad you are feeling better and that your dessert tonight turns out beautifully. The Bali evening sounds like fun - enjoy. Trifley - so glad you are feeling better and that the drain is out. You must be feeling much more comfortable. Thinking of you Laurie - hope there is some resolution to the situation today. (((((hugs)))))) Katherine's cold is worse and she's home from school today. She has all her solo appearances in the eisteddfod next week so I just hope she gets over it quickly. Liked your 'Friends are angels' quote Jood. How true. Jill - how are things going with you - hope grandson is toeing the line. My 'grandson' is staying with us tonight while son and partner go out to dinner and he always keeps us on our toes! He is my son's partner's little boy. He is as bright as a button but has ADHD so is VERY BUSY all the time! Best wishes to everyone else. Catch you later Anna

Hi all you lovely Wattlers, Good news Trifley about the drain, I had this silly vision of everytime you had a martoonie it would just drain out, what a waste. lol. Thanks for the support re 'orrible g.son. the counsellor recomended that I bore him, personally I like to thump him, what he meant was to make it as boring for him as possible so school becomes a nice place to be. The little poo was just walking out of the classroom and totally ignoring anything that was said to him, this has been going on for over a week then he really did it by hitting another pupil, hence the suspension for five days so now he gets to stay at camp 'boring' with grannie from hell, me. ha ha ha. Only drawback is I'm going to be bored too,B--ger! Laurie my thoughts are with you and your friends Have to go in a minute and pick up Lorraine from work, hope it's a better run than the one this morning where we had a kangaroo playing chicken with us then it decided just to hop a long in front before darting back into the bush. Poor Lorraine, but she handled it well, didn't panic just slowed right down and it was bucketing with rain, I was so proud of her. luv Jillx

Afternoon :) feeling better. Actually I felt better as soon as I rang 'work' and said I wasn't going in :) Lew, we have the dinner tonight - Chinese Resturant and then back to our place for dessert and a Ball tomorrow evening - fund raising for an education project in East Timor. So that is a full weekend for us. Hope our kids don't follow your example tonight as we're paying!!! Actually, I felt awful the other night as when we went for dessert after the kid's graduation, I was hungry and ordered up big (thinking it was pay for our own) and then Kendra's parents insisted on paying!! :0 I'm doing fancy serviettes for the table so must away and continue. ~~~~~~ Vonny

Afternoon Wattlers. Well we've had our morning in town and now we're home for an afternoon's rest. Glad to hear you're feeling better Trifles. Any barge parties planned for the weekend? As the office is finally taking us out for dinner tonight, we're going to order up big! I'm selecting by price, heeee. We're going to a great restaurant called 'Blue Wren' and Terry has just ordered the courtesy bus to pick us up and drop us off, so looks like we'll be drinking up big as well. What's everyone else up to this weekend? Lew Lew

Hi Babs....feeling a lot more comfy now, thanks for your thoughts and support. Hi Shaz...got your card......nice printing...lol. Don't worry, I'm not arty-crafty either. You thought of me, that's the wonderful thing. The rain has reduced to a sprinkle now but I can still hear my plants singing for joy. My niece just rang and she had been talking to someone who had been up at Hinze dam. Evidently some of this wonderful water is going in the catchment area. Graeme has gone to work this arvo. I think he needed it as every time I looked around he was standing behind me telling me to rest. I'm in need of a cool drink now so I'll check in later. love Trifley X

good morning Wafflers Its lovely weather today, rain through the night and still raining, proper rain as well. Hope you are getting it Anna. I am just killing time before I take the cat and dog to the VET. Had a small win on powerball last night $41.80 and thought it would be nice to give it to the VET LOL Sandra, I know how you feel with Telstra Broadband. I actually get 500mb instead of 200Mb because we are classed as Teltsra Country, and I can mange to use it all very quickly. When I had dial up I never used 200MB in a month even when I spent all day on Ancestry etc. Sometime I feel like going back. Anyway, I rang Telstra and had a long chat with them. Now I always open my mail in webmail and delete all the ones I don't want to read, that way it doesn't count. When it gets to the end of the month I delete all the big ones. I also clean up my puta every month to make sure I haven't got any nasty bugs and things that have sneaked in. I have got a 24month contract which is only 3 months in. Good to hear from you Trifley, hope your visit to the doc is a good one. Laurie, I hope things are resolved for your friends today. it must be very hard dragging out all this time. You should know about Lew because you are one special lady your self. Yvette, I got your mail yesterday and I will be doing the excersices later today. Will get back to you at the weekend. Anna, please pass on my congratulations to Katherine and her fellow band members You must be very proud. Jill, sorry to hear about your grandson. I don't know what it is about kids today. I think they need to learn to respect themselves and then we may get some where. Funny though, I can remember back in the olden days when I was about 10, a boy in school hit his teacher and knocked him out. Turned out the teacher had put his hand up the boys pant leg. Short pants in those days. One time when the boy did the right thing. I will leave you with a laugh for today ----- An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of his physical exam. The doctor gave the man a jar and said, 'Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow.' The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean and empty as on the previous day. The doctor asked what happened and the man explained: 'Well, doc, it's like this - first I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I tried with my left hand, but still nothing. Then I asked my wife for help. She tried with her right hand, then with her left, still nothing. She tried with her mouth, first with the teeth in, then with her teeth out, still nothing. We even called up Arleen, the lady next door and she tried too, first with both hands, then an armpit, and she even tried squeezin' it between her knees, but still nothing. The doctor was shocked! 'You asked your neighbor?' The old man replied, 'Yep. None of us could get the jar open'. Luv SuzyQ
