***NOTICE - 8 SLEEPS TO GO! **** afternoon everyone, I will be so glad to get on the plane next Saturday apart from the great thing that we will be meeting everyone going to the Casino - I won't have to work a Saturday -yes! Have been popping in and out trying to keep up with everyone - loved the embarrasing moments - really - do you all have a secret urges to be nudists? lol Hope the puddy cats are getting better. Trifley hope you are feeling stronger each day. Hope nefer and the boys are fulfilling your every whim. Anna and Heather - you must be so proud of your DD's the only music our boys make is clattering up and down the stairs.lol. Kirsty used to play the flute - but now she just plays CD's very loud. Mary hope the Doc can do something for John, not long now til you move, hope you can still make it for lunch at the casino. Glad you are feeling better Shazz - can't have you missing the meet. My mum has diverticulitis (sp) its a b****r of a thing. Hope your tummy problem isn't that. Oooo Sheila a another new arrival - congratulations -good weight, (made me wince a bit) , thats the second birth this week, was there something in the air around oct/nov last year? Just so long as its not catching. Eldest leaves London today bound for Mauritius, 2 nights stay there and finally home next Tuesday 9.00am. Going to pick him up at the airport - but because of peak hour traffic I'm going to have to leave at 6.30am - to get there ugghhh. Well he is worth it, and I have missed him the last 6 weeks. Have to laugh just had a call from my Mum (80) & D (84) - dad asked if I was coming to see them this weekend . I said no wasn't planning on it (they live the other side of Melbourne) and Dad says good. Huh! I was starting to get the huff - when he said we are just drving up to Echuca for the weekend so we won't be home. You can imagine the thoughts rushing through my head - Dad - car -road - Echuca - 84yrs old - omg - noooooo - whew -then he told someone else was driving - talk about relief. Why are going to Echuca I asked - oh to play bowls. Tried to get them to move out to a retirment village or a unit nearer to us - the answer- 'we like our independence' and plus we would have to join a new bowling club and we like the one we are at. They both play bowls as many days as they can, plus dad still has a huge vege garden. Must be a good gene pool I've got - all those ag labs have paid off -lol. Well I'm off to battle with the queue at the bank - I'll pop back later ~~~~~~~~~ to everyone jude 3

Good Afternoon Wattlers, Wet,Wet, Wet in the Gong today but who's complaining, daughter and Grandaughter have just left, she brings us fresh manure from her little farm as we call it for the garden so the rain will wash it in. Seemed to have missed something about missing numbers??? Joodle Leah lives in Goulburn. had to laugh about your embarrassing moments........ One that comes to mind with me... son was about 7 or 8 played indoor soccer as well as outdoor. He was a very windy kid ( you know what I mean) Anyhow he was standing next to me and let a howler go and then walked away, the next second a father walked up to speak to me and the smelll left behind>>>> the father must have thought it was me... was my face red or what... The same child was away on a school camp and recieved a certificate for 'Adding Atmesphere to the trip'' Haven't recieved our census forms yet in our area. Mary hope John is ok re his legs not long now. Hope all the unwell people are feeling better Cheers Sandra in the Gong.

Just me again, The merkin story brought another funny story to mind. My dad had a snooker table and a couple of nights a week his mates came round. One night they got to talking about one of the local young men. Now to get this right I must tell you that my dad is almost deaf. One male mentioned that this fellow had what my dad thought was a hairpiece, and he went on to say there was nothing wrong with that, lots of people had them. What they actually said was that this young man had herpes. You can imagine the laughter over the snooker table that night. SuzyQ

Helloo all, It's clearing up here today, so you coastal peeps should get the washing dry on the weekend perhaps. Anna, I missed DD15's choir singing at Eisteddfod yesterday, they were in 3 sections and got two firsts and a second ! Tonight is the school Music Festival though, so we get to hear all the orchestras and choirs and as many individuals they can persuade to do a piece, must go early to get a seat it's a popular event. Oh Tony, ROFLMAO about you embarrassing moment !!! How gorgeous !! I can't remember any wardrobe malfuntions, but I do know how embarrassed I was once after a fancy dress party in the UK (Vicars and Tarts - very 70's lol) where lots of us slept over and as I awoke I heard a discussion about how someone had snored all night and they didn't get any sleep, they worked out it was the girl with the Aussie accent ( me), so I pretended to be asleep for a bit longer until they had left the room!! Being young I was mortified!! I still snore sometimes, but have had my sinuses done so it has cleared up a lot. Re Food these days, I'm with Tony, this is why we redid our veggie patch bigger and better after the storm last year, every little bit of homegrown helps, and having a great variety helps. It was interesting to see the fishing families in Sydney have their dioxins checked out the other week, terribly high results, but most of us don't get to eat as much seafood and all from the same place. I love our farmers markets here in Albury, great chance to get fresh organically grown produce. Lara lol, I did the same with the spag bol sauce the other night, I was in a hurry and it was too lumpy for fussypants, so I got out the kitchen wand and spread it all around, serves me right for being in a hurry ! We got our census paper during the week but I haven't looked at them yet, being too busy doing a science project involving fishing line and weights and a stopwatch, had a hilarious time the three of us trying to time a pendulum swinging - anyway the graph ended up ok so it's handed in today. Parsnip yum yum, we like ours baked with garlic in the oil, then towards the end splash with some balsamic vinegar, had this last night with small pork roast. Jillaroo, take heart that your dear grandson is OK when he's with you. I sincerely believe schools are not the best place for some kids, and they'll be watching him like a hawk, he'll feel that too. Some kids need one on one attention for a while to get their confidence up and to learn socially appropriate skills. Also other kids can sometimes be awful and they do pick on anyone vulnerable and/or different, despite best intentions of the school. So sorry you're sad about your Mum too, hope you get a quiet chance to remember her in some way. Tomorrow will be a better day ((hugs)). Better go and pay some bills now, what a nice visit I've just had with you all, Shaz glad you're better, waves to all (too numerous to mention and I'll leave unintentionally!) ~~~~~~~ Hz in Albury ~~~~~~~~ PS. Now how does one casually add the word 'merkin' into conversation ....... LOL

No point beating around the bush, Jill, lol. Straight between the eyes! SuzyQ, I think Rebs has worked out who it is. Someone who's been on before, but come back with a different identity. Still cold here and it has started to sprinkle. I've just heard Antiques Roadshow start, so I'll pop back later. Lew Lew xxx

Good afternoon Wattlers, Well birth certificate arrived today and I have just proved my first b*****d. There is probably more, but this one I have proof of. Her mother was very naughty had 2 children with out fathers. She did eventually marry and went on to have at least 4 more children. Nothing much has change, grandparents looked after the 2 kids back then. Read through the census form today and I ws dissappointed that only first given name is required. Will make it hard for FH in hundred years time. Especially with all those Waynes LOL Think I will put both mine in anyway. Someone was asking about printing family tree. I did mine yesterday, It was printed over 10 pages and all manes are in boxes. Can't remember how I did it though Will go in and take another look. I still need to fasten it all together, then I will put it on the wall so I can use it for quick reference. btw I did make it a bit smaller also. I am very bust at the moment trying to sort out a puta for Neville. because he wants it to connect a midi keyboard and reproduce sounds of the theatre organ it needs to be fast and have a special sound card. Its all a bit beyond me and more so for Neville, but I am on a mission and will be picking a few brains. So far I have quotes from $1400.00 to $5,000.00. for virtually the same thing. It is a nice sunny day here today but a bit of a nip in the air. Trifley, the dog is fime, its that cat Sophie who is not well. She is getting a bit better every day and she has walked outside a bit today. It's very sad to watch her, she is arching her back as she walks and she has no spring in her step, so she is unable to jump up. Also, we have had to put a litter tray down and she has difficulty assuming the position. I bought her prawns yesterday, so she is eating a bit better today. I am about to ring the vet to see if I can continue with the medicine a bit longer. Sorry you are having family problems Sue, is it what we were discussing the other day? Not long now Mary, I do hope that John is feeling better soon. Once you are settled in the new place and there is no stress he may be better. Moving can be a very stressful thing, thats why we have decided to put it on hold for a while. Did anyone discover who Fitz really is? Sounds familiar to me. Hope everyone is feeling fit and well today, only got a week to get on form for the Sydney meet. Wish I was coming. Well, must go and get on the phone. Catch up later Luv SuzyQ btw. I can't thing of an embarrassing moment yet, but will let you know when I do. There are forced to be some.

Now I know why you were laughing Yvette, I creased up when I found out what it meant, for those of you who haven't looked in on the dictionary thread Yvette posted the word Merkin, it means an artficial covering of hair for the pubic area. Where did you find that one or do you actually own one, psml, no don't tell me, lol Cheers Jillx

Afternoon all :) Jood, just be careful when you use Spoonerisms!! LOL I just glanced quickly through and Duffy Fluck wasn't what I read!!! oooops. Our census has arrived and my lady didn't say anything about box number 60 so I asked her and told her she should encourage everyone to fill it in.!! Not entirely sure she appreciated my well intentioned advice. lol My most embarrassing (yukky) moment occurred when I was a teenager and in the Sea Rangers (older Girl Guides 15+) we had a meeting at our leader's house and I was talking to her and laughed about something and suddenly all this snotty stuff poured out of my nose!! I was mortified as only a teenager can be!!!!!! Didn't know which way to turn and no hanky ready!! It's a simply gorgeous day today - you wouldn't believe it could follow yesterday. We had rain in the night though. ~~~~~~~~~` off to play, Vonny
