vitriolic , i like that. When I was still at home ( i can just remember) my mum used to get the readers digest. I used to love doing the bit, 'increase your word power' has never increased my usage of these words, I tend to keep to the KISS principle, oh on the other hand has a huge working vocabulary. If I used the net for ph numbers rather than the book, I'de be there all day. The phone book is actually quite interesting, i imagine the net would be heaps better. I've found my uk relos numbers that way though. Jill - when you said you were going to look up the phone book - I thought - ............. blimey I never use the phone book. I have whitepages up on my screen (com*au) and use it all the time. .. Several times I have looked all around australia on whitepages for people looking for rellies especially if its an unusual name. .. Do try and get in the habit of using it. .. I think every genie person should. .. Look in metropolitan first, then regional. Sooooooo much quicker than the phone book, especially when you can look up any number in Oz. *gets down off soapbox* Jood
