Evening Wattlers and Crikey & Bloody Hell!!! Guy was a maniac, but loveable. Tassie, I'm going to the Antarctic in January, but OH mightn't like travelling with my gay mate, lol. I'll have to learn to knit, so that Wattie will have something warm to wear. And how are you, Trifles? Off to get some dinner. Chat later Lew Lew xxx |

G'day waffling wattlers Sounds like a good weekend was had by all............... Trifley, how did things go today? And Mary, how is your OH ? Did the MRI show anything ? How's the back Laurie after all that cleaning. Laurie, I am happy to go anywhere tomorrow, where ever the other wattlers want to go. Jude 2, you are supposed to be spending the kid's inheritance not puting it in their bank accounts. lol Find anything at spotlight. Yes Lew, the lotto plan sounds good. And thanks in advance for the tourist brochure. Jill got to be careful with the kids on the net. Warnings on the news tonight saying pedophiles target the kids in these chat rooms. Lara where abouts do I find the tips for puta house keeping? Donna, shame Zack's team didn't win but what an achievement to reach the grand final. Gwenda, get packing. Not long to go now... Just watching Steve Irwin's last interview. He did a lot of stupid things in his life time, but also a hell of a lot of good. Its the family you have to feel sorry for. Poor little Bob is only 2.5 yrs and Bindi 8. Must go, dinner is ready, be back later Pam |

Lew - Wattie has arrived, safe and sound - just going to introduce him to all my other bears - he certainly won't be short of company before we go away and will have plenty of tales to tell when he gets back. Donna - what a great coach - winning isn't all - it's how you play the game and they made it to the Grand Final and most of us can never say we've done that - congrats to Zack. Cheers, Gwenda |

So sad about Steve Irwin, I feel for his poor family, an awful thing to happen. Trifley, will you get your results today? Donna, shame your lad's team lost, no they didn't they came second. He must have been playing so well to have got that last try, what a good team member he must be, not to have given up, well done to him! Hang in there with your other boy, that car will be a great incentive for him. Mary having had an MRI in the past myself, you probably will have to wait for John's results, fingers crossed that all is well. luv Jillx |

Hi, how terribly sad, I have just read about Steve irwin. Stung in the heart by a sting ray. Well, if he had to die so young I think he would have chosen to do so, doing something he loved. No consolation to his family though On that sad note I must leave you all for now Luv SuzyQ |

Crikey, you never know what's going to happen do you. Just heard that Steve Irwin is dead - tragic accident while filming. SuzyQ - no didn't watch the program last night - will definitely say a prayer for you - will be saying plenty of my own on the flight over and back believe me. We are at the World Trade Museum at 12 noon on the 11th - have been told to be early as it it going to be a very busy day - very emotional one too I think. Trifley - hope your test results are good and Mary hope the MRI pinpoints the problem for John. Laurie - had some retail therapy this morning and got a nice pair of trousers to travel in as well as 2 pair of jeans, so now I had better start some packing. Daughter gave me a travel diary with a packing list so I'm following that otherwise I will forget something - can't remember the last holiday where I haven't forgotten something. Lew - I'm all for saving a bit for a big draw and just having a small flutter in the meantime. Thanks for the Mudgee info too. Gwenda |

Good afternoon Wattlers, Well it seems that everyone had a good fathers day, even if it was painting and planting tomatoes. LOL Laurie, your weekend sounded perfect. The bride looked just like a princess and your boys very definately hit with the family gene stick. Tall, dark ( well darkish ) and handsome. The ear rings are not bad either. Also Laurie, do you need to be a member of the RSL club? I think the Beauy one is a bit funny if you live there and are not a member. Maybe we will all have to be from Sydney LOL Sorry Pam, I read these messages after I wrote to you. You get to the RSL before the Outpost. Trifley, hope the test went well. Well, think I might do some puta house work. I have judys list and I also have it marked in the calender to clean up once a month. Bye for now Luv SuzyQ Mary hope the MRI gives you some good news. It will be good to find out what the problem is at last. Lew, I am happy with your decision re lotto, I think there is a big one coming up very soon. My turn this week. Gwenda, did you see ground zero on TV last night. I still get get my head around the fact that someone could actually think about doing that, never mind actually doing it. When you are there, please say a little prayer for me. Donna, how did Zack go. Also how is your other boy in his new school? Too late, but I hope you have a good break away Jood |

Afternoon Wattlers, Canugra RSL sounds okay by me same time 11.30? also agree with the Watto Lotto idea Thinking of you today Trifley and your husband too Mary, positive thoughts to both of you. On the home front got a bit cross with the girls, they were asked to only play the games that I have set up for them but they went on the internet Sat. and got into some chat room, yesterday when I went to say a quick good morning to you all before the family turned up, I couldn't get on, all I kept getting was 'this page unavailable' Ron sorted it out for me later, thank goodness, Grrrrrr! kids! luv Jillx |

Morning all, (just) ~~~~~~~~~~to Jood as she passes (geographically) by. Hope it ia a lovely time for you with sun and rain in just the right amounts :) Flakey, I agree with the cheaper cost of living without the kids around. it's amazing how much money I have to spend now Son and DIL have moved out!! (they paid board but i'm sure they ate it all :) Good plan Lew Lew re lotto win. Gwenda, I'm getting excited with you :) I'm sure it's going to be a great time. My youngest and her hubby made it safely to Birmingham on the weekend so they will be having their own adventure now. I think the food will be the biggest culture shock! Hope the painting is going well Tony. I'm having a quiet day at home just pottering around doing bits and pieces. Might even do some computer housework, Lara :) ~~~~~~~~~~Vonny |

Wow, Laurie, sounds like you have a fantastic weekend. I'm glad Ray was listening to me at SydVegas. Girl can never have too much bling. Did you get the photo of Sarah Louise. She is gorgeous! I'm sure all your tests will be fine today, Trifles, then it's off to lunch tomorrow with you and see if you can reinstate your martoonie levels before the first lot of chemo, lol. I have spoken with a certain rebellious member of the gang who has suggested that I just buy a little 12 liner for this weekend's Lotto ($6.70) and save the balance ($24.25) for one of the big draws. I think this is an excellent idea and I estimate we should be able to buy 44 games with this amount. Does everyone else concur? Jood, you make sure you stayed rugged up tight. We don't want that chest infection to come back again, do we!!! Lyn, I'll send a guide to you today, but just confirm your surname for me please. I think I know what it is, but you'd better email me just to be sure. I have now forwarded guides to the following, so if you've missed out, send me your address and I will certainly rectify the situation forthwith: Jood, Vonny, Shaz, Pam, Trifles, Tony, Lara, Mary, Sandra, Laurie, SuzyQ, Gwenda and Lyn. I'm sure the other 2 Judes should have been on the list and I also don't have Joan's address. Beautiful sunny day here, but it's still only 13C. Always cold after rain. Well, I'm off to do a bit of gardening. ~~~waves to all the Wonderful Wattlers~~~ Lew Lew xxx |

Good morning Wattlers. A lovely morning here at Cedar Grove, a little bit of cloud around, but the sun is up and about. Walking around the yard in the summer gear and not feeling at all cold. The white sulphur crested cockys are screaching, ripping the flowers off the native trees, little beggers - wouldn't care if it was for a feed - but they are just ripping into them for fun. Up early this morning to get TLR off to work, he has a few appointments today and after that he is on hols for a week. Forgot to mention last night that I met up with and had a long chat with Amanda's aunty at the wedding - a lovely lady who lives in Southampton. She had only arrived in Oz the day before - made the long journey for the wedding. Anyway, we had heaps in common - even GR membership ! Another lady at the wedding, Bunty, nearly 80yrs old, and the first time I had seen her in over 20 years. Bunty and I shared a job as therapist assistant - my first job in the disability field, when Glen first started school. We would take it in turns of working 2 or 3 days per week. So nice to see her again, and a nice suprise as I didn't know she was a neighbour of the grooms parents. I've got the dirty job lined up for today - going to clean up and scrub the fire box, get out the old stove black and polish up the hearth! I washed a few wall on Thursday and Friday, so will try and get the living arear finished today. Ray got the long extension broom out for me before he went off to work so I can try and get the cobwebs down from up in the beams, but they are nearly 7mtrs up at the highest point and the old broom gets a bit woobly when extended right out. Going to be hard to stay indoors though, so nice to be home, and I love just being out walking around the block. Glad you got the warmers all packed Joodles, you just go have a great time - take plenty of pickles! PMSL yvette . . . I have a feeling my 'work' day - will crash into a day of doodleing fiddleing and playing !!! OHHHH 6 sleeps Gwenda . . . have you got your packing started - I always start with a list then ignore it completely !! Tony, sounds like you have trained Dean Anthony well, you done good - the little man will probably always grow tomatos and even when he is an old man remember he learnt off his Pop Lara I think one of the first threads I read in the GR community was Judy's tips, printed it off and always do the housekeeping - as Trifley said only sort I like to do. In fact most times I log on I get rid of temp files and the cookies I dont want on there - always keep the GR & Ancestry log ins - and a few others I use all the time. Puter keeps telling me I dont need to defrag, as I store most of my files on sticks. Its OK Lew, Mui is safe . . . PMSL . . . that was sent to me by Indonesian friend, with a note to say we not eat chinese for lunch anymore! (I sent him back a msg saying I hoped we had never eaten chinese, but chinese style food - his reply 'I hope too - leg bone too small for even chinese man) Thinking of you today Trifley as you go for tests - We will need a toast tomorrow so I think we should have a culture shock instead of the Outpost . . . (though if we had to go through so much hassel to get a martooni at Sydvegas - not much chance of one at Canungra Risl . . . .) The Canungra RSL is def an experience all should have! Small town style - none of that big glitzy stuff! Reminds me of my childhood out west, a real small community club. All those in favour of a cultural experience say . . . . yahhhh . . . . . The Canungra RSL is on the main drag on your left hand side as your coming down the hill into the township from the coast. Not far down the hill, and there is a big sign out the front so you can't miss it - plenty of parking beside it. There are a few nice little crafty shops in the village too, so should be a lovely day out. Time I was into some of the jobs or I wont have achieved anything by the time TLR gets home (Ah I love saying 'home' and mean it!!!) cheers luv Laurie |
