Greetings Wattlers. Sunny today, but a nasty chilly breeze. Nothing exciting to report. Good news that Jilly McMad is back home after her little op. She was thrilled to hear from you Trifles! Off to Dubbo on Thursday for a little retail therapy and also to buy some more cooking utensils for the Mudgee Meet. NO ONE is to worry about food, I will just be serving simple finger food and, if worse comes to worse and my cooking is disgusting, we can always have pizza delivered, lol. Jood is staying with me and has volunteered to be kitchen hand, so we'll be right. Donna, I think Zack has done extremely well and it's good that they're now thinking about next years games. How's Dan going at that new school? Must away and get some breakfast. Lew Lew xxx

Morning all, Pam, sorry you couldn't get the origins site to work - they have been having difficulties again. But it is working at the moment although is no use to me as can't find a thing!!! Gwenda, I think the new Genes layout is really good BUT very sneaky offering all those goodies then finding you have to pay for credits!!! it might backfire on them if people get antsy. ~~~~~~~~~to all, I'll be back later :) Vonny

Morning Wattlers, Mary & Cilla - hope you're both feeling better - nothing worse than being blah is there Lew - Wattie spent the night with all the bears - at least they didn't disturb my sleep with all their chatter - Wattie kept them entertained with all his travel tales - goodness knows what he said about Brisvegas & Sydvegas - pmsl Lew - I thought John's wife's name read Jemima - who knows it was too b****y small for me to read and not even sure if he is my relly but he came from the right place in Devon - only cost me $10 to get so took a chance. Cuz doing the book isn't sure either but the daughter's names all fit. Off to have shower and brekky before doing some chores then heading off to meet daughter Have a great day ~~~~~~waves~~~~~~ Gwenda PS - any thoughts on the new layout on the front page - for those who don't come in thru the front?

I was shocked to hear of the sad death of Steve Irwin. A passionate Australian and a hell of a nice bloke. He will be sadly missed. My sincere sympathy to his wife and children. The heart test seemed to go well today. That is, of course, after the technician found a vein to take the blood. My veins were not co-operating today. I'll have to wait untill tomorrow afternoon for the results so when we get back from Canungra I'll ring to find out. Laurie...we'll see you at Canungra Rissole at 11:30am. Crew...I think your idea about the Loto is good. It will spread out our chances for a win. Then we all might be able to go to the pole with you and your gay mate. Mary...fingers XXX'd that John's MRI results give the Docs something to work with. Donna...sorry Zack's team didn't win but it sounds as though they played well. <<<clap>>> big hoorah for them. Big ~~~~~wave and hugs to all the other Wattlers. I'm off to get some beauty sleep so I'm bright eyed and bushy tailed for tomorrow. Night everyone. love Trifley X

Just wanted to add how very sad I am about Steve Irwin's death. I was not into his personal style but I think he was so passionate and had such vision for the future of the wildlife on our planet. I've been to his Australia zoo and it was such a credit to him - all the animals were so well looked after. He obviously loved his family and my heart goes out to his wife and little Bindi and Tom. I hope his dreams for the future of our wildlife will live on. Hope you went OK today Trifley. You haven't been on to talk to us you naughty girl. Best wishes to Cilla and Mary - take care and hope you are feeling better soon. Gwenda - have a great trip. For goodness sake make sure that Wattie is not carrying any questionable hand luggage. Hi Jood - hope you are travellling well! Have fun tomorrow girls - SuzyQ - hope you are getting on top of your sciatica. Love Anna

In a crowded city at a busy bus stop, a beautiful young woman wearing a tight mini skirt was waiting for a bus. As the bus stopped and it was her turn to get on, she became aware that her skirt was too tight to allow her leg to come up to the height of the first step of the bus. Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg. She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't. So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step. Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg. With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step. About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, 'How dare you touch me! I don't even know who you are!' The Texan smiled and drawled, 'Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends.'

Good evening Wattlers Crikey . . . . I can't believe it !!! so sad for the family - and for the lost possibilities of the future - who knows what that man could have achieved if his life had been longer. How lucky are we that he promoted conservation as he did and had such an impact world wide. Well done Steve may you rest in peace, and may your little family find some comfort in the legacy you have left them. No word from our Queen on how she went today, no doubt she is celebrating good results with her family. Congrats to Zac - they must have played well all year to make it to the final, a well earned break now till next year! OK - so 11.30am at Canungra RSL tomorrow - looking forward to catching up with those that can make it. Suzy Q - you should have no problem getting into the club, if your worried wait until we get there and my old digger will see to it that you dont have any problem. I doubt they would ever turn anyone away. You will be right Gwenda - what you forget to pack you buy when you get there (by the way good jeans are heaps cheaper in USA). Ground zero was a sureal experience for me last year, first time there was on a tour bus, and I couldn't hack it at all, was angry with tour guide at his commercial attitude to it all so I went back and sat on the bus. But a few days later Ray took me back there and I was so glad to have a 'quiet' time there and reflect. It was a very emotional thing, lots of tears and you could feel the saddness. It was very calming to sit in the little chapel across the road. Enjoy it, and dont stress about the flight girl, put a smile on your dial and enjoy every minute of the experience, good or not so good - its all yours to experience! so make the most of it! I have been such a busy bee this afternoon - scrubbed all the timberwork around windows and doors. Couldn't finish off polishing old bertha because I ran out of stove black, but sure to be able to get some tomorrow at Canungra. Ray had the day working, and when he came home we had a good dose of red to celebrate him being on holidays. He is sure to tell you all tomorrow that I was too pickled to cook dinner . . . see, I am clever !!! Dinner is so much nicer when someone else cooks it !!! Lew, Joodles told us that she wont be online until she gets home - I have sent her an sms but no answer as yet. Seeing as how I had dinner cooked for me I guess I should go make the lovely Ray a cuppa so catch you all later Cheers luv Laurie

You take care of yourself, Mary and don't overdo it! Anyone heard from Joodles? Gee, I managed to get Wattie a Passport, but didn't think about a ticket. Oh, that's right, he booked on the Net, so he's travelling on an e-ticket. He only needs to present his passport to get his boarding pass. Lew Lew

PS. Gwenda, I haven't forgotten about John Brook's Will. I'm actually working on it at the moment, but I think I need a couple more charddies before I can understand the blinking writing! I've worked out most of it. Luckily the legal jargon hasn't changed much since 1838, so that's how I've been able to fill in the blanks. I've got John's wife as Joanna. Is this in line with your records? Lew
