Lucia - just take a little time for yourself and I am sure everything will come right. You have been working so hard lately - don't beat yourself up about these results when it is the teacher being unreasonable. Maybe Lukas will cheer you up. |

Thanks Joan, :-) it's not A-Level, it's Scottish Higher. I'm seriously worried about maths too. I did the exam and as soon as I got out I started crying (really). It was all too much for me. |

Lucia Are these mock exams you're taking A levels ?? Cos if they are don't worry too much. I failed Enlish in the mock (35%) then went on to get an A grade !!! These tests aren't right all of the time!! Good luck kiddo !!! :0) Joan xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

Lucia sweetheart, what you must remember is..... When you do your external exams, you will be a number. No one will know whose paper they are marking. Your teacher whether she likes you or not, has absolutely NO POWER over your exam results. Just you work hard, as you have been doing and you will be fine. That's a promise. LOL ;-0) Deanna XXX |

Thanks everyone for your support. I really appreciate it. :-) It just seems so bad because I tried and it didn't work. I'm a failure. I didn't reach my potential. The mark doesn't seem to reflect the work I put in and that really disappoints me. On lit essays teacher says: 'you seem to have extensive knowledge of the texts but I cannot read your handwriting'. And on interpretation passage : 'Please write in sentences and not in cryptic notes'. Previously I'd been advised to write in note form. It just doesn't make sense. I think next time I'll do it the way I want and not their way. I'll try and get some feedback from teacher. The thing is I had a teacher last year when I was studying art and I asked him for help and he said that I was a perfectionist and I shouldn't hope for much. That got me down. I realise that teachers are only out for themselves anyway. All they care about is how much my mark reflects on them, though they aren't all like that. And tomorrow I will find out my marks for maths - I know I've failed. And that is why I decided to skive Maths today. |

don't let that one bad mark knock your confidence Lucia or else that teacher has won. rise above it. ask where youw ent wrong, and then, if you don't agree, challenge it. but in an adult manner. you will be OK, if you want to drop the subject and can manage without it for what you w ant to do then drop it. What subjectw as it by the way? Ann glos |

dont fret lucia itll all be ok, its not the end of the world, you can always redo it, and listen if you dont resit, then itsnot your thing, youll be ok lifes got lots in stall for you, what ever you do , do what you want to do, what you got your heart set on ok if that teacher keeps it up we'll all be down there all us girls, we'll sort teacher out, who does he think he is, son had nasty pasty drama teacher, he niggled and was bonkers, accused my son of swearing, which many told me he hadnt, son came home with note for being declassed, cos he 'went to toilet without permission' so i phoned him at first, then stormed up school, told head of year how this guy was a bully, i wasnt having it , nor let him do it to other kids, that september he quit, all the kids were more comfortable with new teacher, |

My son had a teacher like you... Not to begin with however... he got excellent marks until the teacher found out that one of my daughters ( he took dislike to her in previous year... she was naughty though) was his sister. The first term back, even though he was the same as always, getting good marks and progress reports from other teachers... said that he was out of control in his class and wouldn't work. I went to see the head and his work in that teachers class was scrutinised by the Head... he got his marks upgraded in the end. Some teachers can take a dislike to pupils , this can show in marks... shouldn't happen... but it does... So. Lucia... don't let it get you down... my son is now working in a top bank... after this teacher said my son would never account for anything. (Wish I could meet him these days... would give him a peice of my mind!!) Anne :))) |

Don't get upset. My daughter had an art teacher like that said she wasn't good enough for college. Took her confindence from her. Luckily someone had told another teacher who talked to her and said yes she was and a few year later the first teacher had to eat her words. Germaine x |

If its personal its scary.... why don't you go to the teacher and ask what you should do to pass!! Be the adult even if they aren't!! |

Hi Lucia Why don't you turn into a positive and ask this teacher for feedback on what you could have done or shouldn't do to get better marks!! It will be a big help for your next piece of work, then if that don't work, I say stinky poo to him!! Kaz :o)) |

Of course you should bother. Just because a Teacher has a problem there is no need for you to give up. After all, you took in the information he gave you. Be bigger than him. |

It's not fair - a certain teacher has something against me and he marked me down - my teacher agrees and she said she would try her best for me. I'm really upset because I did all the work and l listened to what the teacher said but it didn't work - maybe I just shouldn't bother? :-( |
