Val, Thanks for helping us all with our curiosity. Scartletina (or however it is spelled) was a problem about that time, a friend has just found a whole chunk of a village he is investigating died from it in about 1855, a time to be thankful for antibiotics! suex |

HI Val and all Have sent Val a PM just so she is aware of this posting Here is the name of the relative that was described as 'The black sheep fo the Family' The black sheep of the family turns out to be Sarah's brother Ernest, who shunned the Methodist way to emigrate to Australia in 1910, where he worked as a hustler on billiard tables. It doesn't say his age or birth year, the info was taken from this i site Wendy |

I didnt like that programme, I went off Jane - she didnt seem very sincere and if it had been me I wouldnt have been wailing about this poor little kid dying 'probably through starvation' but would have said lets see the death cert then. And it didnt tie in with her great gran being in with that wealthy family, did it. So Val, lets get the cert for the 'black sheep' who went to Aus, I bet he turns out to be a vicar! |

Valerie, thank you for putting us all out of our misery :) Poor mite. So it was Scarlet Fever and not malnutrition? Would have been nice if they'd mentioned it in the programme... |

Hi Valerie, Bein equally nosey! Can I please ask, what was in box 5 (occupation)? A child's death cert ususally has the father's (or mother's) name in that box. I was more intrigued as to his parentage, than what he died of :)) Debbie |

So all that was a load of rubbish about potato famine! I feel really cross now and I think Val should be due a £7.00 refund of her TV Licence. So did anyone get the birth certs? Thanks Val |
