something to keep you busy, for a while, if you get a perfectly smooth anvil surface, a pre 47 silver coin(florin)and a nice little tapping hammer, you hold the coin so it is vertical(standing on edge)on the anvil and while rotating it, tap the top edge with the hammer.after a short while the edge will roll itself in-side out, and you should, if done properly have the date, and inscription folded over , as it were, and also the opposite face will do the same. after this has been done to you satisfaction, hold the coin in a vice, CAREFULLY, and with a drill, drill out the centre of the coin.finishing off with a round file.. when this is done fully you will have a wide Ring, with the date and inscription on the inside. I believe that Gypsies used to do this with gold coins.... Bob |

Ann dont have any idea as to their value............but they were not intended as currency, more like keepsakes...... the 1933 penny, Derek. there were only something like 6 minted, and issued.. most are accounted for...........there is one out there, somewhere......LOL |
