Dick Barton 1845hrs - 1900hrs Mon to Friday. Set the clocks with that show. 'In Town Tonight' 'Family Favourites' and all the others that have been mentioned - plus ones that have escaped the grey matter (anno domini) 'Down you way'

Brilliant shows. I listened to Dick Barton Special Agent with Snowy and I think Ginger . My mom could not get closer to the wireless ( old name for radio) to listen. Itma with Tommy Handley ( a Liverpool comedian) was the one show where even bombing in the war could not force people to the shelters until it was over, Colonel Chinstrap, Fumf ,the German spy, Mrs Mopp whos call was Can I do yer now sir? Pity they dont bring back these show. although with television I doubt whether a radio audiance could be found to make it worthwhile. Rupert
