I know you never claimed that Daniel, but I meant 'you' generally as people usually do tell you they are the best years of your life. (or 'they' did to me when I was a teenager) Claire xx |

Never mind, Dan. Don't be too despondent. London beckons on Saturday! Who knows what delights are in store to brighten your gloom? ;>))) CB >|< |

I never claimed that teenage years are the best years. If, they are, just wheel me in front Trisha now and let me go sooner than later :-) |

Len, you are most certainly not old! My gran will be 90 in 5 years and she says age is a state of mind. She still feels 18 inside. :o) Dan, as a mere youngster in my 30's, I have no problem with a 'few years under my belt'. You think you have the best years of your life as a teenager/student, but every year is a best year in some way, isn't it? I am currently loving being a YOUNG mum! Claire xx |

Come on you lot, dont worry about a few pounds weight gain. Its the person that is important not the size etc. I was still wearing size 10 clothes when I was 63 but unfortuneately, I had to go on steroids, which increased my weight. At first I got depressed, then I gave myself a good talking to, my friends were still my friends, with or without the weight. Inside, I dont feel any different to when I was in my twenties, I have to keep pulling myself up and remind my self I cant wear these lovely fashions the youngsters wear. So just get out there and enjoy yourself. June xx |

The problem with a 'few years under your belt' Daniel is that one gets fat. Other than that no problem at all. (Snap Camberwell - you're up early!) |

I'm not getting older, I'm getting better, or at least my doctor and husband encourage me to hold to that philosophy. However, it was difficult to think in those terms 20 years ago when my small son asked me if I'd ever seen a dinosaur, and the following week asked me if I was in the crowd at Queen Victoria's funeral as he watched the camera footage on TV! |

Daniel at 50+ still think I'm as young as I feel. Just takes a bottle of dye, pair of jeans and my Dr Martens then no one can tell my real age. PMSL |

I know that I am old as, when I bend down to pick something up, I always ponder 'what else can I do whilst I am down here?' len |

I shall be 90 in just under 8 years but when I read some of the threads on this board, I feel hale and hearty compared to many, particularly mentally. Len |

Gwen, that would make your girl just old enough to be my mam! And I mean just, I'm only 22 (and 2/3) although my mam is 49 and dad is 56. |
