hmm yes, course you were. The implication was there. report me, see if I care... I'm sure most people know what you're up to... and Kim knows me well enough to know I have nothing against her at all.

Couldn't have put it better Paul. Always seems to be the same person at the center of any controversy around here!

I think the best advice as well is - if the lady is still alive - handle with care - she is 93! Could come as a shock to her.

not at all. Newbies are always welcome. so long as they're nice - like most people, I treat others as I'd expect to be treated myself. I'm just saying that someone who's been here a while, makes a valid point, that someones been given a lot of information and should do somthing with it , and you call her an idiot ? without knowing how many times she's helped people in the past ? and without actually reading what she had to say by the looks of it. you've been here a couple of weeks, and you've thown your weight around every day since you go here. the word troll comes to mind. I've been avoiding you up till now, but to be honest you're really getting up my nose. I guess you're getting the arguement that you clearly want. Well done.

Am I missing something here! I thought Deb had made a perfectly valid point. Why is everyone turning against her? Is there some behind the scenes agenda going on? Is this another thread to draw people into an argument?

Paul, With all due respect, what on earth does being an established member have to do with anything. Are you really implying that if you've been on here for X number of months then you are allowed to speak to other members this way???????????

ever the diplomat Theresa...

I haven't been on Records for yonks - I've been lucky, everything's been straightforward and frankly BORING! lol This is a lovely story - and I want to know how how it gets sorted detail by detail - so a very unashamed nudge. Mags xxx

Shelli4

Shelli4 Report 24 Mar 2006 22:28

And nudging every 5 mins isn't going to help matters is it?

Debi Coone

Debi Coone Report 24 Mar 2006 22:28

That cuts both ways Kate.............. so think on your last sentence and reflect , as I have said you don't know me nor I you or our circumstances. As for your other points If you have the BIRTH, MARRIAGE & DEATH reg what else can we do for that person ?? When this is what they have asked for??

Unknown

Unknown Report 24 Mar 2006 22:27

Kate, with all due respect, comment like yours to well established members is what makes people think you're out to cause trouble. Paul

Unknown Report 24 Mar 2006 22:22

Deborah, Sorry, I don't understand what you meant. The point is is that many people drift in and out of theses boards during the day. There might be someone else out there that could look at this in a different light and come up with another suggestion. The remark that you made to Em is what puts people of these boards. You cannot possibly know peoples circumstances and your remarks like this can be hurtful. Kate

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that the main essence of this site was for all to get help with genealogy so I think that it's a bit rich to knock a person for asking for help

You cannot tell another paying member that she's had enough help, now run along!
